Geet has spoiled me. I am now exposed to such high quality of acting, that now I don't watch any other hindi serials. I don't even read their reviews and updates in IF.
Geet does not have too many twists. It has simple day to day life episodes. But Guru and Drashti give such top notch acting, every episode feels good. Cvs have worked hard to etch each character. Yes there are a lot of bloopers, set faults, discontinuities, but I can sort of disregard every thing because I don't have eyes for anything other than Guru and Drashti, when they are on screen. Yes initially Guru's diction use to upset me, but it no more bothers me, he has god damn expressive face. Every minute expressions are done so well. We have watched episodes and episodes of maaneet starring, holding hands and silly fights and yet we can't have enough of it.while other serials have major story , every day new twists, age leap and yet they don't grip me anymore. See I have not been a romantic story person. So a person like me going fida on Geet is big.
Gurmeet is tooo good, so good that he can overshadow drashti at times. He is very versatile and the day he corrects his diction problem, even the slightest criticism he receives will be gone. CVs have don't great characterization for MSK, and Guru did complete justice to it.
If you see Drashti in real life and compare it with Geet, we can see how much effort she has put. Not once will you remember the Mumbai babe drashti, when you see Geet.
Dadi ma ( both of them), adi ( though his laugh sounded artificial initially, now it has become apart of him), pinky, sasha, Taasha, naintara, Meera, dev(abhinav is getting good screen space nowadays, but he is not using it. He needs to express) all of them breathe life to the serial.
So geet has spoiled me.
