Very thought provoking write up as usual Parul.
I think rather than a lesson of life a sort of healing process has begun for this very troubled & wounded man or rather child-man.The very first wound came in the form of losing his mother the moment he was born. What followed thereon was a saga of suffering where relentless blows rained on this man. And at some point out of sheer will for the sake of survival of his family he wore an armour of distrust & anger over those wounds. It did offer him protection from further hurt.He rose to unprecedented heights in terms of power where no one or nothing could touch him.But the wounds below that armour remained unhealed, they festered poisoning his whole being where he became a man he himself could hardly recognise. This he realised when Nakusha held a mirror to him. It would not be correct to assume once the marriage happens Dutta will quietly settle into domestic life blissful because even then those wounds will still remain unattended. He wasn't hurt after the Seema-Sups episodes he was scarred permanently way before that.So it was very necessary for Dutta to revisit his past where the actual healing will begin. He must start by first confronting his father's,mother's truth followed by his wife's story.Final confrontation will be with Dutta Bhao.Only then will he meet the real Dutta. He will be healed enough by then to recognise that Dutta. It will of course be a very painful healing. The scabs must be peeled out before the medicine is applied.Someday the wounds will dry out.Time will erase any left behind scars. And then All will be well. Extremely beautiful analysis.I dont have words how beautifully u have given this character of Dutta richness with ur writing. Fears have to be faced before you can transcend them. The peace which comes after an intense conflict is long lasting and it indeed changes you and frees you from the demons of your mind.
