Is kissing really necessary?

some might argue that it is in order to show the on screen chemistry between the pair. But seriously, kajol-SRK did not have to kiss to show their on screen romance and they are still considered the best on screen jodi. Neither did Aamir and Preity in DCH or Salman and Aishwarya in HDDCS. I enjoy watching bollywood movies with my family because atleast I know there wont be any uncomfortable scenes. However these days I need to think twice before watching a movie with my family.

I agree kissing isn't necessary, but there's nothing wrong with it either. If we look at it that way, hugging isn't necessary either, nor is holding hands....Our parents kiss too :D At least I think they do =P

true..i find it completely optional..always felt that..but i think some movies might need the scenes (where a kiss would indicate something further - which IMO should not at all be shown)to move the story forward..

but personally i find it easier to watch a movie with my dad when thr r no intimate scenes wt so ever..dsnt matter wt they have when ts with mom..but with dad or a little bro its definitely awkward!

n anyway that simple hand holding, a little peck on the cheek, a cute hug kind of love is much more sweeter n gives a nice feeling cz then the bond onscreen dsn't seem like ts only abt physical things..

The birds do it. The bees do it. Even little guppies and puppies do it. How then can the BollyWood peckers go without it😉

I'd rather sit down with my parents and watch two people kiss than see an actress in see through wet saree shake her breasts/ass and moan.

Was Madhuri and her dhak dhak necessary? Or Sri Devi's Kate nahi kat te?
