Sharad Kelkar

Born on October 7, 1976, in Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh, Sharad Kelkar is fondly known as Nahar Pratap Singh - Saloni's husband, for his role in the TV show Saat Phere – Saloni ka Safar. Since then, has become the heart throb of millions of Indian Tele viewers. Before entering the show biz though, he earned an MBA in marketing and was working as a gym instructor at Madhavrao Shinde's Club in Gwalior. During that time, Lady Luck bestowed blessings upon him and gave him a chance to visit Mumbai – the city of dreams, where he tumbled upon an opportunity to participate in Grasim Mr. India 2002. That was the first time he walked on a ramp. Even though he returned to Gwalior after the show, the dreams that the city had put in his eyes, brought him back to Mumbai within a few months. He started with modeling and within one month, he did almost 25 ramp shows. He also did some ad films and when he finally got his big break on the small screen, he started his acting career in Zee TV's show Sindoor Tere Naam Ka. Currently, his big call to fame is his most recent stint as Thakur DigVijay Singh on Bairi Piya.

On the personal front, Sharad is married to his co-star and actor Kirti Gaekwad from TV show Sindoor Tere Naam Ka.
