| Just cause: Rani Mukerji |
It was heartwarming to see Rani Mukerji ganging up with friends Zameer, Mary and Kaushalaya at the Helen Keller Institute for the Deaf and Deaf-Blind in the city. Rani took time off to blow out the candles with these kids as she turns a year older today.
Rani's visit to the institute can be seen on Star Gold's Jabardast Janamdin, at 8 pm.
The actor spent a lot of time with these children before, researching her Black role. These children helped her portray the role of Michelle, which has fetched her many awards.

Rani not only stuffed her bag with goodies but also had her friends taking to the stage and microphone. Kaushalya, who is recovering from a recent middle-ear operation, sang and danced beautifully.
In fact, Rani recollected a particular song that Kaushalya had sung two years ago during the filming of Black, and Kaushalaya was too happy to hum the tune again.
