I do not live in India but I have been viewing the programme and I think that the voting process has not been fair at all. Sandeep and Anuj do not deserve to be among the top three, but thanks to Farha Khan and her undeserving comments, they are still there. Farha has to be more careful with her comments as it seems that Indian viewers are influenced by what she says. Amey does not deserve to be out of the programme. The competition should have been between him and Karunya. Anyways, all the best to Amey.

Date's elimination before Anuj and Sandeep is a big loss to Indian Idol-2. Of course, there cannot be anyone better than Karunya. It's sad that so many good singers have been voted out of the show so soon. I would like to request that voting by people should be restricted up to the fourth contestant and the last three contestants should be left to the judges' decision. All fourth judges, who have been there for the previous shows, should be called.

First Mrunali was voted out, then Meenal, followed by Antara. To top it all was the ouster of Amey Date. I feel that the entire format of the so-called 'voting pattern of the aam janta' is ridiculous. The aam janta is only voting for their individual state's Idol contestant and not someone who has the whole package. The show should abandon the voting pattern and allow the judges to make the final call. Amey should be lauded for deciding to go ahead with the decision and not opting for a re-take. As said by Anu Malik, Amey is our 'true and saccha Indian Idol.'

Amey Date's voting-out came as a shock to everybody. We already knew that he was a great singer but his calm reaction proved him to be a mature and genuine person. He even tried to console his mother and friends. Hats off to him. One day he will surely reach great heights.

Indian Idol is losing its standard. It is a contest to bring talented people in the limelight. But after Amey Date's exit I am beginning to feel that people only vote for contestants from their states.
