Dyehard: KriYa is a relationship so different from many relationships shown between any other typical TV soap couple. Suddenly theirs look so real and so perfectly compatible even though once they were poles apart😃.

As usual when I am overflowing with affection for Baba it has to come out as a Ghazal from 'His' pen. So here goes!

Manzilein aur bhi hain

Abhi na bhareinge dum, ke manzilein aur bhi hain

Chhaalon se seechein kadam, ke manzilein aur bhi hain

I will not sigh/be out-of-breath, for there are miles to go

I will nourish my feet with blisters, for there are miles to go

Kaaton ko raah ke chunk ne sajayeinge sehra

Makaam-e-gulistaan mein sad-kham, ke manzilein aur bhi hain

I will gather the thorns of the path and fashion my Sehra (veil of the bridegroom)

The path to the land-of-the-flower has a hundred bends, for there are miles to go

Teri ankhon ke sagar se peetein hain hausla humto

Ho phir se ek nigaah-e-karam, ke manzilein aur bhi hain

From the goblet/ocean of your eyes, I take my sip of strength

Let me have an eyeful of grace/bounty, for there are miles to go

Rahatein aur bhi hain wasl ki rahat ke siwah*

Humse ishq ne kaha hai sanam ke manzilein aur bhi hain

There are other solaces/pleasure in the world apart from the pleasure of union

Love has told me this, my love, that there are miles to go

Ishq-o-akhlaaq mein ab chun na nahi hai 'Baba'

Har raasta chaleinge baaham, ke manzilein aur bhi hain

I will not choose between love and righteousness now, 'Baba'

I will take every path together, for there are miles to go!

*Rahatein aur bhi hain wasl ki rahat ke siwah*

This line is from a very famous nazm by Faiz, one of my favourite poets. So I've taken the liberty of paraphrasing him.

DH, so Baba is writing poetry again! 😆😆

Thank you for sharing this, also for the translations! so nice that you are using keywords from Baba and Baboo's life - kaante, gul, gulistan... Wonderful 👏👏

I particularly liked your use of Faiz - verrry nice! After all, that is the cry of poets who start finding out that loving intensely isn't enough sometimes - there are problems outside of love, comforts outside of love's embrace. Kriya's love is a very strong force but it will falter if both of them do not complete themselves as human beings - they cannot be the lovers they can be if they are not true to their larger purpose.

Sam, Yes there is a crazy level of intimacy between the two, nai? It feels so much like intruding even to just watch them! It is like they are in a special bubble world, which nothing can breach (touchwood!)

@bold: WORD to each and every line 👏. I agree that Krishna has come a long way....and so has Pratigya.Though she hasn't had to change her own personality, her ideals and way of thinking inside out like Krishna did..but its really sweet how she has understood that being wise and loving has nothing to do with education. She has come to understand that Krishna alongwith an open heart also has an open mind who is ready to learn and adapt if he considers apt and most importantly, she has understood the depth of his love for her.
One thing I am still not clear about is what exactly does Krishna think about Pratigya and her idealistic ways of dealing with the world and her constant struggle to bring about a change? In today's episode he calmed her down and cheered her calling her his sherni but still did not state his own opinion on the matter...as in what was his stance in all this? He took his wife's side, but I would have loved to hear his opinion on the matter after everything cleared up for Amma and Shakti.I wanted to know what all went inside him when he came to know about the FIR and how exactly did his opinion change during the course of the events that happenned.Dunno.. I guess he has accepted her whole heartedly and adores her the way she is...he is still getting to know her, understand her line of thinking but I guess the hard way since his family gets involved. And this gets in his way since he is very protective about his family too. Well..its good that his love for her overcomes everything else and he is humble enough to accept whenever he is wrong and tries to mould himself according to Pratigya.
P.S. the poem was lovely 😃

Thank you, thank you, Pranti!😳 Sorry for the delayed response. Paul took away my attention!😉
You are so right! For a person supposed to be burning with anger, she has looked at Krishna with a very open heart! But apna Baba bhi jaadoo hai!😳
Coming to your question, I think K is and instinctively fair person who has never wanted to personally use his might to scare people. He did not do it to Nitin, he did not even go after Angad very vengefully. Bt the Thakurs have always been so obsessed with maintaining their Dabangi as if it was their mission in life, like a Kul-Dharma, that K has been brain-washed into thinking that it is par for the course to use physical force to keep people subdued. He does not like it instictively, but he has never known at what point to question it. He has always been pampered in this family and so he has never wanted to rock the boat. This has helped him and Komal develop a armour of selfishness. But this armour is being pierced badly now by P's righteous questions and beliefs. He is seeing his world through her eyes and seeing how badly it is wanting in human values.
It will take him time to change and reevaluate all his most fundamental beliefs. But our baba has the strength of character to do just that.

You worded it perfectly..especially the bits in bold. Krishna is basically a great person at heart but he never quite got around to question those false beliefs of his family. Well..they didn't really cause him any harm whatsoever...and moreover those were the unwritten rules of his house so why question them.LOL he definitely IS selfish when it comes to getting away with things and having his own raaj in the house..😆 and this has ALL to do with his upbringing. And this lets me think that this might be one of the major reasons why initially he had thought that Pratigya should love him. Afterall how can anyone NOT love him😆. well things have changed now and he has matured over time. Now with Pratigya in his life, he is finally getting to see his own family with new glasses and with his sense of fairness intact he just can't ignore these glaring faults. I am so happy he has his own independent thinking which is so righteous and innocent that he is able to somehow strike an awesome balance between Pratigya and his own contrasting personalities and mindsets.Makes me wonder how come he ( and Komal) stayed shielded off from all the negativity, cruelty and manipulative ways of Thakur Niwas.
