You guys must have all noticed the new sound track they introduced yesterday. What I found both significant and interesting was that the song played on Krishna's expression so that Meri Pratigya would take on the meaning of "Krishna's Pratigya" as against only to mean that is 'her oath'. I found it very telling that in yesterday's episode Krishna knew the exact moment that Pratigya's spine had stiffened into its full capacity of obduracy. The others foolishly thought they could still push her, but Krishna new instinctively that his wife had been pushed to the maximum limit of her tolerance and now she will only push back.
I think KRIYA are now going to enter a new level of partnership. Here I would like to quote Arsukona again because I was really impressed by her pithy analysis and prediction β "KRISHNAS GOD IS HIS LOVE AND PRATIGYAS GOD IS HER TRUTH. In the future kriyas god will be truth.Truth IS LOVELY AND BEAUTIFUL." π
Till now Krishna has always tried to fit Pratigya into his life. Pratigya resisted at two levels. She resisted being completely dissolved in his world, though she did make a lot of adjustments. But on another level she resisted him, his love. Now the second level of resistance has completely melted. But Krishna has slowly begun to realize that his life (unchanged) is not the proper setting for Pratigya. He knows that he can no longer expect her to adjust to his context without making fundamental changes. He has come to recognize himself that his context is fundamentally flawed. He sees that change is inevitable. Pratigya's place in his life is non-negotiable. So he sees that he has his work cut-out for him. I think he realizes that he has signed up for a partnership where his partner is intent on moving some really immovable objects, and he has to keep pace with her at each step if he does not want to lose sight of her.
Yesterday on Star Utsav in the re-telecasting of the show, I saw the episode with the introduction of the Thakurs. Krishna is shown to callously leap over a wounded/bleeding man who has been dragged behind a jeep by Shakti Singh. K does not even bother to find out what all that was about! Compare this to the K of yesterday, deeply ashamed of his family's 'kartoot' and so deeply conflicted about his 'Dharma'. And how he came up with trumps! Just trying to come abreast to P has changed K so much, it will be totally fascinating to watch how he evolves as a man and human-being trying to stay abreast.I think their are many more challenges and milestones in his path. All the best, Baba!!π
As usual when I am overflowing with affection for Baba it has to come out as a Ghazal from 'His' pen. So here goes!
Manzilein aur bhi hain
Abhi na bhareinge dum, ke manzilein aur bhi hain
Chhaalon se seechein kadam, ke manzilein aur bhi hain
I will not sigh/be out-of-breath, for there are miles to go
I will nourish my feet with blisters, for there are miles to go
Kaaton ko raah ke chunk ne sajayeinge sehra
Makaam-e-gulistaan mein sad-kham, ke manzilein aur bhi hain
I will gather the thorns of the path and fashion my Sehra (veil of the bridegroom)
The path to the land-of-the-flower has a hundred bends, for there are miles to go
Teri ankhon ke sagar se peetein hain hausla humto
Ho phir se ek nigaah-e-karam, ke manzilein aur bhi hain
From the goblet/ocean of your eyes, I take my sip of strength
Let me have an eyeful of grace/bounty, for there are miles to go
Rahatein aur bhi hain wasl ki rahat ke siwah*
Humse ishq ne kaha hai sanam ke manzilein aur bhi hain
There are other solaces/pleasure in the world apart from the pleasure of union
Love has told me this, my love, that there are miles to go
Ishq-o-akhlaaq mein ab chun na nahi hai 'Baba'
Har raasta chaleinge baaham, ke manzilein aur bhi hain
I will not choose between love and righteousness now, 'Baba'
I will take every path together, for there are miles to go!
*Rahatein aur bhi hain wasl ki rahat ke siwah*
This line is from a very famous nazm by Faiz, one of my favourite poets. So I've taken the liberty of paraphrasing him.
