National awards aren't always ideal but they are good pointers- same with any awards. Generally the shortlisted nominations live up if not the actual winner.

Where did I ever say a certain actor is good or not? I contested two recipients of the award, i.e. Saif and Aishwarya. I have watched the movies they have acted in. Thus I felt they did not deserve the award they were given. Saif did not receive an award for a Malyali movie and has received an award for a hindi movie. People like Konkona sen, Nandita das are far more deserving than them, IMHO! Not all good actors receive a national award and not all the ones who win are deserving. I stand by this. I never passed my comments on whether Mammotty is deserving or not.

You believe in these awards, good for you. I stated my opinion. Good enough?

^^ I never said you said Mammotty was undeserving. I was curious as to how to would determine who good actors are outside of your own language. I don't speak Malayalam either. However, I see an actor won an award, I watch his movie with subtitles and determine if he did a good job or not. ( I do the same with say German language films) .I was wondering how you would determine this. And why are you getting all indignant? We are just having a discussion.

She was lucky to get for Yeh Ishq Hai from Jab we Met, its not a national winning song in merit.😃

I dont agree with you on the first part, getting an award always depends on overall factors. Anyway I wont argue as everyone has their own opinion & I respect it.

Thats sad, but dont worry Sc she will definitely win next time😊 And anyway winning too many awards hampers performance to some extent ( we can see that in ARR's case) ,so Shreya will continue to work harder now.
