very aptly said..loved each and every word of urs....and I very strongly feel that the scene was well written keeping in mind Dutta and Baji's character..Dutta -man of few but powerful words, cldnt show his feelings flowing like the way Baji did..Baji has always been an extrovert so shedding tears on an emotional outburst was apt for him too...

I thnk Duji scene was shown to enhance the trust between them so that when Dutta actually comes to know of Nakku's truth along with Baji's truth of being a confidant to her in this, Dutta's reaction of betrayal would make more sense...

on the side note - I guess its Baji who keeps reminding Dutta of Kala's words and act by doing thngs like he did today..😆

Great post Anu! 👏

Loved going through ..

I have always admired Dutta- baji relationship.. The "respect" these two have for each other is something to watch out for.. they both care alot abt each other and on many instances we have seen them risking their lives for each other... Since nakusha told him abt her truth Baji is having a hard time.. he wants to protect nakusha at the same time the guilt of hiding it from dutta is killing him ... it tells how much he cares for him and for his happiness.. tonight ( hats off to the cvs and Anil) we have got a wonderful scene.. specially the small story dutta shared it with him .. Baji couldnt sell off his Watch .. so he kept it with him and came up with a plan as he knew his friend inside out .. on the other hand he wasn't able to hide it from Dutta...It also gives us a hint for the future as well .. Their bonding will remain intact! infact whatever hurdles they are abt to face will strengthen their Bond MORE!*touchwood*

A Very well Explored relationship Indeed!

Anu awesome....I mean, your post got tears in my eyes more than Baaji's act!!.....
Okie, first and foremost, the scene was so beautiful and I completely agree with you, that the first scene in the intro episdoe just set it for me that these two also have an eternal bond!!!.....After TaSha, these two are the highlight of the show, if not more, atleast at the same level!!!
Now, in todays episode, Vinay really pulled his sock in an emotional scene compared to previous emotional scenes....Although, to me, the crying part looked a little amateurish acting wise, It was Dutta that did it for me...he brought the necessary tears....Before he came in the room, I was feeling bad for Baaji, I was loving the scene but my heart was not heavy,......but as soon as Dutta came and started being sarcstic, I started shivering slightly, and then he narrated the story of the watch and there I went boo-hoo 😭.....that is how I saw, thru Dutta's eyes, Baaji, the true friend that he was, that is when I got emotionally involved to Baaji's tears and emotions....So, Although I hate to say this, but Dutta took me thru the journey and made me feel Baaji's pain and after that Dutta culd very well leave, bcoz I would totally sit with Baaji and cry till eternity!!!....😛😉
Dutta was awesome and u captured the essence of this scene so well, Dutta didnt go and hug or console Baaji...he handled it like a man would do...A Man to Man interaction...I mean, guys dnt get mushy....but they do get emotional and they have a diff way of showing it...Dutta and Baaji showed a realistic way of how Guys get emotional for each other and display that without loosing the essence of being a "man"....and Men do cry but dnt become a cry baby!!!......
Beautifuly captured by CVs!! 👏

I'm still emotional from thinking about the DuJi scene. Some felt that VR overdid the crying but for me it was very much in-character for someone who wears his heart on his sleeve. Baji is very expressive about his feelings so it was only natural that his guilt and anguish be conveyed with significant emotion. In contrast, Dutta was restrained but he spoke with meaning and sensitivity in his voice. His eyes conveyed the disapproval he felt for Baji demeaning their life-long friendship by deeming himself an outcast. For considering that he is nothing more, than Dutta's right-hand man or his most trusted employee. Dutta was appalled that Baji who is ready to give his life for Dutta and Dutta for him, can even entertain such thoughts because Dutta has always treated him like his real brother. It was never a relationship of favours for them ' they are family. Period.

Bringing up the story of the watch, which held much value for them both, showed how well Dutta understands Baji. He knew he had helped him in his time of need but had not made it seem like Dutta was accepting his charity. That kind of deep understanding, respect and love for each other is truly one-in-a-kind. Dutta did not bring it up all these years, so as not to make Baji uncomfortable but today he broke his silence. He had to remind Baji in the most profound way what his friendship means to him.

The question he left for Baji 'tell me how to repay you?' was rhetorical ' he knew Baji does not really believe their relationship is of 'give and take' or hisaab-kitaab. The friendship is unconditional. Yet, hearing this from Dutta only made Baji cry harder as he sensed the hurt and anger behind that question. Only Baji is snookered, he cannot explain his growing insecurity because it would require revealing the truth and Baji does not have the heart to tell him yet. Kala's words have unnerved Baji because of the guilt festering in his mind.

I'll say it again. This is my favourite DuJi scene to date. MR and VR deserve a standing ovation today. They stole my heart all over again!

I am back at home, relaxed , watched the DuJi scene again and came back to this thread to reply and read ur post..............and I have to say this is one of the best written posts I have seen of "DuJi". U penned it out well.................alas I could write like u ..............oh sometimes I feel Iam such a horrible writer when I come across posts like this........ I dont know how u ppl bear with me everyday with my stupid posts 😆...........Jks apart,
Baaji didnt overperform.........he was just PERFECT!!!. Why did anyone feel that he cried badly? I actually cried with him, just not as loud as him, as I was in office at that time 😆.............Jks apart, I really really think he was awesome in that scene. I havent come across anyone's post which didnt like Baaji's acting today...........anyways he is meant to show out his emotions, whatever that may be , out and loud.........unlike Dutta who is more of a subdued person. His emotions are all wrapped up under those looks he gives and smiles he passes. Baaji on the other hand is very emotional kind of a guy, it was that way from start. So if today he didnt cry out loud than I would say that aint Baaji. He started off with just tears in his eyes but the moment Dutta showed him the watch, he just realised that Dutta knew abt the watch, the secret he was hiding from him and that got the guy all emotional. He is such a sweetheart, my heart just goes for him.
Ur so right "repay" wala line hit Baaji right on target. He understood very well what Dutta wanted to say with that Dialogue. Anil was awesome again today...............

@ Anu: I could not have said it better. The episode belonged to Baaji first and Dutta afterwards.. The episode belonged to the celebration of friendship.. A friendship so pure that it transcends all times, be good or bad. An episode that solely belonged to VR & MR for they displayed one of their finest performances in it. Baaji had me choked up pretty bad and his tears and emotions while crying did not come across acting at all but rather came across as real as an emotion could be.. As real as a friendship could be.. Hats off to both actors!! 👍🏼👏
👏
Cheers,
Sana~

Aww Anu dear you have humbled me with your kind words. 😳 🤗
Honestly, your perspective is so well-written and detailed that as a silent member I would eagerly read your daily KTB. I wish I possessed a sense of humour like your own. You also have a keen eye for criticising the acting so I trust your judgement when it comes to dissecting the scenes.

As for the post about Baaji's crying. There was one where a few people felt he overacted but overall everyone agreed the scene was a must-watch. It might be the highlight of the week for me even with the impending TaSha scene tomorrow. I love scenes were both actors do complete justice to the script.
