Angie congratulations to you.,...😃.....lets see what else they copy from the closure post of yours in MI . Still have doubts as to whether the chunnu munnu read MIs or not.😉
The only person I was watching today was Imarti.........the rest have all gone for me. The day Radhikas pregnancy was discovered was the last date of CB...........not because the characters were alive but because I wanted her to be pregnant..........but my desire for her to be pregnant was something else.........since she was an orphan I wanted her to have her own child.....but that reason also does not exist any more.
As for Imarti.......I don't know why everyone wants Imarti to get married to Vivek..........at this moment they have nothing in common and it will only end in tears........
Don't know if they read MIs or not. Wish they did though. At least they could have taken some good ideas from there.
Radhika has been made mahaan by these creatives. So, she does these great things from her mountain top and mere mortals may not understand those motives. Hence, she knows Imarti's heart and knows what is good for Vivek. Never mind that Vivek is wary of marriage (very appropriate reaction) and Imarti is a free spirit.
I think I read Anu's response about this in your thread. First of all, Imarti has not expressed any desire to get married. She also has detachment problem which comes from neglect as well as being called a "sinner" by her own father. So, Radhika showering love on her is appropriate, but not forcing this marriage on her.
Secondly, Vivek is their own son and his mental state should be important to them. They never encouraged Vivek to get divorced from Mrinalini despite his unhappy state even though he threatened to do so few times. Now, that Mrinalini left him and he eventually dumped her, he is asked to get married to this young, vibrant free spirited girl who has nothing in common with him. He rightly said that he doesn't have any energy to go through this trauma again. But, nobody bothered to listen including Dev and Radhika. This is not the same Dev who pleaded with Vivek to understand his feelings for Radhika and asked for Vivek's support in separting from Vishaka and telling the truth to all family members.
As far as pregnancy is concerned, I am still happy that Radhika is being shown as pregnant. When they showed her burning, they also showed that she got injured on her stomach and I was thinking that it would be unfair if they never show her having a baby. Even though her character and background are totally changed in last two weeks, I still would like Dev and Radhika to have their twins which include a waaris and a girl. At least, it would be a happy ending for Radhika where she gets to have a child of her own.
I think Anu mentioned in your post about Radhika having this relationship with Vivek of a sister and a brother. They showed it beautifully last year, but then it totally fizzed out. During the memory loss track, there was some closeness shown but nothing about Vivek trying to overcome his handicap and Radhika helping him with it. Again, the original writers had shown beautiful sentiments between different characters and the new writers chose not to go that route. That was the beauty of the old show. It was full of emotional content and did not need fake melodrama or cliffhangers. One wanted to watch the show just for various interactions. I remember that Dev and radhika's scenes together were highly anticipated despite Dev not ever touching Radhika and vice versa. Now, all they show are these romantic scenes which feel devoid of feelings as they have no meaningful conversations. Dev is now a bystander to various things going on in his life.
Previously, Dev could never stand for anybody even insulting Radhika. During vat savitri puja when Mrinali had taunted Radhika by calling her orphan, he had answered her back. Then, when she stopped Radhika from going to the temple to do puja as she wasn't married, Dev came to her and told Radhika in front of everyone that she should not pay attention to Mrin's taunts and go to temple. This is when he thought that she was his SIL and that conversation wasn't even appropriate from the society point of view.
I know I am repeating myself in these threads. But, I do feel nostalgic about the old episodes now that this serial is ending. Wish somebody could take the story from last year's wedding (just before varmala) and change it in a different direction and show us a nice ending.
