You Getting Back to You--Is Dutta Really?

We've talked about the changes in Dutta. I felt that Dutta is changing a bit much a bit too quickly. He is now a Bappa enthusiast and like Naku, leaves everything to Bappa. Perhaps, he should have left Kala's punishment to Bappa too, na? Shouldn't Bappa have thrown her out of the house? <slight disconnect>

Many of you said that Naku's love and example has helped Dutta rediscover who he truly is, and always was. I think there is much truth in that. We all, but I can only speak for myself, have found myself changed and changed back again, because of other influences, be they people, situations, ideas/philosophy, my own desire to bring myself to center. And, yes, I have had that moment where I could feel myself getting back to me.

So I do think changes in Dutta are reasonable. What I do have a problem with is this:

Is he really getting back to HIMSELF (Dutta Patil) or is he becoming Naku the male version?

I am not being facetious with that, really. This is a very tricky question. From what many have said, Naku has helped the old Dutta come back again. That his anger caused this severe change that held him hostage for 10 years. Is that really true? Since when was Dutta ever like Naku? All Bappa, all self-denying, all gentle? From what we saw, he loved his family, he loved Seema, and was in shy in love with her, but he interacted with her too. He worked, he was a happy-go-lucky guy, he had a lot of responsibilities.

You ladies know that intellectually, I have a problem with Dutta's transformation. I contend that he has not transformed to what he was before...even if they try to show that with his clothes. 😆 Naku has had a very positive influence in his life, and it is people like that who can bring good or bad changes about in our lives too. HOWEVER, the way they have shown Dutta changing -- the pace, the quality of the transformation -- makes me feel he is changing, not for himself, but for Naku. And on some level, I have a huge problem with that. Maafi, friends.

What I wanted your thoughts on is, not what we discussed before which is Dutta's change. That would be redundant. But, rather, this whole idea of "is Dutta getting back to who he always was" OR "is he changing to more like Naku"?
Give it some thought--I'd love to read your thoughts on this.

i had same felling like you- to precap he look absolutely changed. look so soft and humble in front of nakku i do not no why i felt like this. when nakku said i see your heart he look more and more soft

well if he's transforming to the male version of Naku... then he might also start coloring his skin to black complexion just like Naku. that wud be a shocking transformation...😆 Poor baji will get confused even more...Naku becoming white & Dutta turning black😆

I can just see it now:

"DUTTA GIVES UP BEING DON, SMEARS BLACK SOOT ON FACE TO HAVE PEOPLE TREAT HIM LIKE EVERYONE ELSE, AND LIVES WITH REGULAR PEOPLE..."

In true dostana form, Baji will still love Dutta, despite the horrendous clothes and black soot. His love is eternally BLIND. 😆 😆 😆

He thinks he is doing all this to make Nakku happy but again subconciously he is doing it to redeem himself. Not being aware of his virtues Dutta is eager to grab this gift which he has always craved for life has suddenly presented to him and he finds himself ill-equipped to do so. This is his preparation to make himself presentable when finally he is ready to receive it.

I don't think he is changing for Naku, He is changing b'coz of her. More like, he is reverting back to his original self, whom he had left behind a long time back.

I completely agree with zuby..he is not doing this only for nakku but for himself too althought the reason behind all the changes is definitely nakku.. but this is kind of a self exploration.. what i have come across is dutta was never happy with killing innocent people he always had this guilt within himself that his hands as blooded.. somewhere deep within himself he always wanted a life where in he is loved by someone and he loves the person too and he leads a happy life..he has always dreamt of such a life as all normal people do.. but due to the circumstances he compeletly got derailed from the track and now when he has found a ray of hope he is leaving no stones unturned to make his life the way he wanted 10 yrs back.. He knows what he is doing and he is not going to behave stupid at any point of time.. The changes are only in terms of looking on the either sides of a coin. before he would never think from the others perspective but now he tries to give a though to whatever is happening around and he gives his best to understand the complexity of the situtaion. this is where i think he is changing and in my opinion this is not bad at all.. and moreover falling in love is always a beautiful thing to happen to a person and this time its him and he is giving his cent percent to it since he has always craved for true love and he got it after he has faced so much in life. that is the only reason he is behaving that way its a dream come true to him.. when someone has to crave for something and finally he gets it the feeling of that achievement is simply awesome..
