SS didn't hate P to start with. It's only when she spilled the bedroom secrets, he realised his son rather than being happy was unhappy and that's when his attitude to P changed. If you look back you will see each time Amma started on P, ss would have a go at her - even during the two havens.

A parent like to see their children happy in their marriage, and SS was like that. That's why he went with two shaguns to the Saxes....otherwise we've seen enough of SS to know that was unusualt. The only explanation is his love for Krishna is very great. I think he had reservation about P but decided to give her the benefit of the doubt but when he knew that she never even let his son touch her, his dislike took over. Now he just plain wants to kill her because he doesn't want to lose Krishna at all. He realised, Krishna's world is Prats and he can't accept that.

contd--it has been continously fed into his brain by his wife that pratigya is the sole and whole reason for their sons miseries & inorder to get rid of all the problems, the root cause should be done away with !! thats why he is determined to do away wid her as he knos that if she is alive he will never be able to seperate his son frm her.
