Big Bang Theory!

The big bang theory is the theory of how the universe and plants evolved with one big bang. On the news yesterday they showed that they found evidence of this theory, they found a way to find out how the universe was shaped at the beganing of time.

Do you belive in this theory of how the universe was created or do you mbelive that the universe was created over time?

yes i do beleive in Big Bang theory (but not in evolution) as a muslim and as a scientific person. its the most logical and reasonable theory.

God says this too in Holy Qur'an (meaning as): "Do not the unbelievers see that the heavens and the earth were fused together, then We separated them . . ." (Qur'an 21:30).

The Big Bang Theory is the only one of several possible theories on the origin of the Universe.

However, it is the only one which, so far, has consistently explained the observed phenomena (eg background microwave radiation). All the others have failed in this in explaining at least one such.

This is not to say that it is the final word - there needs to be just ONE observation that cannot be explained by the theory for it to fall flat.

So, for the time being, the Big Bang Theory is good.

As for religion, my own says that the creaton came about almost instantaneously from "OM". This concept is quite consistent with the theory.

And my final belief is that though the pundits are hard at work getting closer and closer to t=0, they wil never actually be able to reach reach it - God Bless them - as then they would know the mind of God (Dr Hawking's words paraphrased).

I do believe in the big band theory since it best explains how the universe was made. The big bang theory hasnt been proved yet but they have come closer by using the string theory.

My understanding is that String Theory is used to loosely bridge the opposite postulates of Relativity and Quantum Physics and not to prove or disprove the Big Bang Theory.

This is all in the realm of super high-funda physics and mathematics, probably outside the scope of this debate and DEFINITELY outside the scope of my intelligence.
