Pondering over a comment Laila made long long ago that RS gets more screen presence, I was wondering about the personality of RS???
RS was rude to Abhi and claimed himself as a self righteous person with a capability of leaving half the population of Delhi with a "tedha muh"
RS and Surinder have had issues in the past and he appeared quite not so civil with him each time Surinder had started a conversation during Simi's alliance with Bhalla.
His comment to Abhi was still rude when Abhi first visted sethi Nivas and telling him he should have known that Abhi was Mr.Tarnej'as son where in actuals Abhi is such a sweetheart and just not like his dad. His assumption had been wrong.
RS has always discriminated between his son and daughters just because his educated son refused to take up small time family business.
RS claims his daughters will make him proud whereas all three daughters are deranged in her own way. One does not respect her husband, illtreats him, another ended up pregnant before marriage and the third is lusting after her BIL.
RS could never take a stand and went hiding in a park rather than cancelling Simi-RB wedding. And the second hibernation when she decided to marry Nakul.
RS is tight zipped and lipped in front of his darling wife who throws tantrums for everything.
RS appeared annoyed at Anitas disapproval of the homeneeds at 12/24 and also when she hugged Nakul(I was not sure then about his reaction, but thinking back, now I do. At least she hugged her cousin brother Nakul. whats his darling Mili doing?
When it comes to decisions, the burden is transferred to his "DHADKAN"
He did not care when Simi ran away and gave an useless excuse(thankfully Mili was sane that time)
He always knew how Manju treated Simi(remember the lecture of an "almost" Ph.D during AbhiSimi roka
I remember RS giving his wife a comment on the first episode on 31 Aug 2009 where he said the clothes that customers disapprove few times is never again offered to any new customer too. Did he compare his daughter to clothes bundled at the shop? So was he really caring when he agreed to Abhi's interest in Simi. Because he commented to manju why she ignores Abhi when an educated youngster is seeking her "useless" daughter's hand because he too wanted the burden of Simi off him.
When his daughter is ignoring her husband and toiling like a slave in this dead family, he is busy romancing his wife. He is always beside her be it bedroom, kitchen or hall. He is ragging his wife he will visit Mrs.Sharma if she does not make him his favorite dishes. No wonder the seeds of doubt in Manju has been transferred to Simi, Neetu now and then.
RS never asked Abhi how he managed to get the shop open. RS never openly asked Abhi or heard him out about Mili's drama. He did not hear Simi out when she tried telling him not to mistake Abhi (well she herself does not practice that is a different issue altogether).
Even now when he can solve the differences, he shirks his responsibilities and advises his darling wife not to interfere in "children's lives"
Now which father wont even have a phone conversation with Mili's sasuraal after hearing she was beaten up black and blue. Whats preventing him?
Deranged father, deranged mother, all deranged children. Seems hereditary.
Seriously the Tarneja family which was appeared to be selfish is actually not.
Tarneja is a money minded person who is trying to make money for his own family.
Anusha at least respects her husband however harsh he might have been.
Anita at least is loyal to Anuj and had told Bhalla that she does not care for money and she wants Anuj back with her.
And Abhi is a darling from the start.
In the Daagar family, at least Daadi loves Omi a lot
Omi is large hearted enough to accept Neetu and her child in spite of being cheated and now Neetu is annoyed at his care also.
The Mathur family: the father wanted to quickly resolve his debt but at least he changed himself.
The mother loves Vishal and her DIL
Vishal still supports Mili in spite of Mili saying she loves some married man.
The Bhalla household, at least both of them care for each other.
No words to describe this bunch of idiots at 12/24 KB.
And yes kudos to the writers to show a middle class family in such poor light.
