guys a read an article recently:

Elimination of Mumbai's 'Indian idol' contestant figures in Assembly

MUMBAI: The elimination of Amey Date, the contestant in popular reality show 'Indian idol', figured in the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly with a BJP member seeking government intervention in stopping the SMS ''racket'' during voting.

Devendra Phadanvis (BJP) charged that date has been eliminated just because he happens to be Marathi-speaking.
''There seems to be a feeling that the earlier winner was a Maharashtrian and if another Maharashtrian wins again, the show would lose its following in other parts of the country,'' he claimed.

He said there was a lot of resentment on this development in Mumbai adding the government should step in to stop the SMS ''racket'' involved in the voting process.

what do u ppl think?i'm not sure..but i can't stop wondering why amey who was safe last week..had to go out now.And i can't understand how anuj gets more votes than amey!!

pls stop believing this politicians.

u will know from this line as to how they instiagate regionalism.
their aim is to divide and rule. there are far more important issues in maharashtra that these politicians have to work on, they jus want 2 make such statements and get attention.
guys this post is as a true indian pls dont start bashing me for not supporting this politician's statements

watever they say isnt going to bring amey back! I wish they would stop harping on and on about what's happened.

There's something wrong in the format itself.....just coz the format works in USA it doesnt mean it'll work in our country as well.....

As for the politicians' statement---honestly there r more serious matters to disucss in a legislative assembly than Indian Idol! Amey himself has accepted everything y r they not shutting up---give the guy a rest!

I wish they ban indian indo forrrrrrrrrrr everrrrrrrrrr.............injustice done to amey just cozz he'a from bombay and he's a marthai speaking just like abhijet.......and sony did not want to bring another idol of bombay as a risk of loosing populrity in other parts of the country........wish amey had never come to indian idol 2......may 3 if would have been a great one for him.....anyways amey is much better offf from thizz looser show 👏
