I went back to watch the comforting scene as I missed the HAANs. I feel he is emphasizing his words by saying Haa because he only says it after some important statements. It's like when we underline words or phases in a book to remember or read again later.

He is comforting and reassuring her and wants her to remember some very important statements like...you're not alone I am with you. HAA! Never forget that!
