@praks: well i dnt agree wid anandi being a doormat for the betterment of peace of house makes sense..yes,women in general have a lot more capacity of making adjustments and tht i very well understand and appreciate bt adjustments and taking verbal and physical abuse are two diff things..and in anandi's case its a daily dose of the former and rare doses of the latter..maybe these things happen in the villages frequently,i do not know..bt in BV for sum reason its almost glorified and THT disses me off..and her education ka track toh am sorry i will not agree wid u at all..she HAD the opportunity and she wasted it..period..what reasons she gave were also not justified according to me..and as far as jagya's "second" wife coming in,well,it wud give me very vindictive satisfaction to see her as an educated person whereas anandi lost the same chance coz of her foolishness..education does not give u character everytime i agree fully (wid suchitra) bt it does give u sum kind of awareness in the least..which anandi sorely lacks..tho again i dnt agree wid suchitra abt jagya "using" anandi for "fun"..tht is not only unfair,bt also untrue..he has always been a staunch supporter of anandi excpet for tht one track of daadisa brainwashing him abt coming second to anandi..he stands up for his wife even more thn bhairon stands up for his..

--not speaking against @Praks at all --just cant argue with a kid at an impressionable age who thinks sacrificing is the solution to all arguments .The world isnt as sheltered as one's home-there one needs to stand up for oneself--Education helps more in today's world than religious texts written centuries ago.. Also agree 'Prakriti'-different sweet name 😊

..of what is right.. that's what the definition says.. agreed? Now, what do you mean by the term "right"? Can you define it in absolution. No!! Because nothing that exists can be absolute. Hence the definition of "right" and "wrong" will also be relative and will vary from person to person. Is Anandi complaining? Does she not have the option of going back to her parents' place? She does. But she is being held back by a force which is much stronger than the "sacrifices" she's making. And my concern was why blame the new Anandi? If you speak of injustice upon her, that was like 5 years back, the major part of injustice. So why didn't she speak up then? So actually Anandi was equally dumb(or equally intelligent, whichever way you may choose to look at her) even then. And no one can just out of the blue blame her for growing up to become a dumb, stupid lass. Why didn't she complain when she was 13? Is there much difference in the way she behaved during the panchayat meeting on deciding whether Jagdish had really been married off again, and the manner in which she behaves now? No, not at all. In fact I still see the same Anandi at both the places, in similar positions.

Well, I had joined back then, yes, because I really used to like Left Right Left. But then I lost touch with the whole thing. And now, only after 3 and a half years, I guess, have I come back. Anyway, you must must must argue if you wish because that way I get to know of a lot of things and looks at things from much wider perspectives. But I still am not convinced at the arguments against Anandi's character, by anyone. And, thank you for the compliment. :)

your last line is the premise of our argument that the new anandi has not matured in her thinking at all ..she is still the same scared ,timid anandi that dadisa used to bull...

and am not understanding your argument on what is right or wrong.. we all know everything is preceptive in this world,.. but some things we can analyze clearly as to whether they are right or wrong.. bigamy is worng.. there are not 2 ways about it...
