They have showed that SK is thrown down from the cliff but have not yet shown if he is really dead or alive. I think they might bring SK back. For the time being they will show the new guy is a look alike but later will reveal its indeed SK and he was faking just to take revnge on the evil. Otherwise, just think wont the very essence of the show is gone forever.
The Preeti who was so against Sumi's divorce abiding with her mother's words of every jodi being Hanso ka Joda. If Preeti loses her better half where is the hanso ka joda. So I would like to belive this new one is indeed SK who is just pretendind to be SK's look alike.
