Uttaran is serial an only one of all the story of the TV which pays tribute in bad actions and or the evil wins all its battles and a lot of sensible viewers have shown their distress due to the prolonged success of the negative characters over the truthful protagonist. According to them it sends wrong signal to the society. The show has achieved a 25% rating on the TV soap's rating website MouthShut. Another website TV Basti has unfavourable reviews from the viewers.

The show was in top 5 in TAM but subsequently the rating dropped to 5 - 20 TAM range in 2010

It is high time they bring Ichcha into the forefront.... this is supposed to be ichcha's story... she is one who lived on Uttaran ...and how she progresses in life is what it shud be all about... but the CVs have gone off track and continued the story on tapasya (who is the negative character) ...and her evil deeds...

Ichcha has been totally sidelined...and is more like one of the furnitures in the background....
Please CVs....you all gave a very sad ending to the Vansh character...which cud have developed so beautifully..instead of showing how a drug addict cud be brought out of his addiction n lead a normal healthy life with proper treatment...you showed him commiting suicide n sent a wrong message to the world....
Now please dont do the same with Ichcha character...and show that a poor girl living on Uttaran cant have a progressive life...on the contrary try to show that every individual makes his/her own life n when given an opportunity like jogi gave to Ichcha they can do wonders in life...which will make more people try to help little girls with education to lead a healthy progressive life....

i agree...ichha's character had SO MUCH potential and the creatives have reduced her to a snivelling crying and self pitying creature..she refuses to get any sort of self respect...and her obssessive love for taps has to go..for all our sakes..jogi gave her good today..i always thought tht taps and ichha are two extremes of personality and neither are good for health..it just screws up everybody else's lives along wid ur own..

pls CVS dont bring in iccha -veer wedding track.. let her accomplish something first.. getting married and making kheer for mai and co is not the only thing in life...

now with tapu gong it will be interesting to see how iccha picks up the pieces of her life and make something worth while of herself.
