This is the reason why members r getting bans or topics r being closed..because every other topic is becoming a spam zone with members chit-chatting among themselves..u hv chat club forums and PM service for such chit chats..a forum is about serial discussions and not about all these spam threads..I kept the topic open because I felt mayb the topic starter had some valid points and I could hv answered the member why the decision was taken...But if members r only opening these topics to chat among themselves..then sorry Dev team cannot allow that..Chatting is allowed only in App threads nad chat clubs or PM service...so do it there ..don't open separate topcis for random chats...
