😡 I think its pathetic for the cvs to make Gurmeet Choudhary shoot the episodes of "geet" under such terrible conditions!! He has got malaria not a minor cold!!! 😡
Gurmeet's looks, acting and sizzling chemistry with drashti is the reason why most of us watch geet. However I feel that there is too much pressure on him to be in every single episode and ppl are forgttin that he needs a break now and then - not just when he is ill!!
Tbh I dont wana see every episode that has maan n geet (even though i love the pair) because its important to have other characters involved and keep things balanced and keep da amazing chemistry alive !!
If it is true that the producers hardly have any future episodes filmed - then boii this is what I call unprofessional & unprepared!!!
Nearly all serials have 2 weeks completed episodes (most of tym) so I dont understand what is happening with "geet".
iv read that people are prepared to watch repeat episodes untill gurmeet recovers - but i dont agree with this!! No1 can replace gurmeet as maan but cmon This is showbiz n the show must go on!!! In the meant tym we should enjoy geet n dadi scenes and okk watch dev n chairtara (im warming up to them 😆) while our sexy hunk rests!!
😛 Get well soon gurmeet 😛
😳 I hope you lot understand what i am tryng to say - i dnt mean to sound rude 😳

Miss A, I agree Gurmeet should have gotten total break from show. They should have used other cast members while he recovers. But from what I understand, all Indian soaps shoot like this, none of them have 2 week banked epis. I was shocked to hear that.

That aside, we all love Maneet and their romance for sure. But these two leads are under tremendous pressure and strain and shoot without a day off for 20 hours per day !!!😲 They need to develop other stories with other cast members, maybe cute Pinky and Adi love story , and then they can explore Dev's character some more, maybe even Sasha's story. This will give the leads some down time.

Poor Gurmeet, I felt so bad for him today. He looked pale and his eyes were red and his voice was weak too Hope he gets atleast 2 or 3 days of total rest, but I doubt if he will stay out for that long

none of the indian shows have so much bank! two weeks is like asking for too much.... since it is 5 times a week it becomes hard for the makers to shoot so much in advance, moreover the storylines also keep changing everynow and then to accomodate various issues like the one that happened now in Gurmeets case...its like a regular job, where you have to work everyday! each of the member of the Geets team must be working super hard to put together an episode...and yesterdays episode needed Gurmeet to be around, especially after they aired that promo with the two of them... even then, they did everything possible and avoided him as much as possible..
while its very hard to earn the name and fame, it just takes a moment for people to lose that...!
please dont ever blame the makers of any show by calling them unprofessional! they do their best no matter what! its no joke to put up an episode each and everyday while you are getting episodes written, corrected, directed, edited and then aired...all of that is no easy job and it takes time!!
its been almost a while since, the name of the screenplay writer Swati pandey has appeared in the title credits, has anyone bothered to take note of that? well.. such is the life of the people, or the cvs as we call them! no one gets to know or cares about what happened to them... for that matter the story has had 3 story writers so far...no one has cared when these people came and went as long as we got our scenes.. our episodes...! it happens...
so lets be on the side of the makers and think, they are doing their best to allow Gurmeet rest... they dont want to offend us, thats why they are updating us time and again about their actors.. what would we have done, if there was no access to this info and we would have had no Maan suddenly for 3-4 episodes? i may sound a lil harsh with these words.. i am sorry i didnt mean to be.. but i dont like to hear these things about the makers of any show.. i hate the way fans at times suddenly jump to conclusions about issues like this... will make a sep post later about how a show gets made!! c ya...

It's not their fault. They are not shooting with bank of episodes in hand. With so many things going on, they had to call him for a shoot, because they couldn't shoot with him on Sat or Sunday.

He's the main lead, so they need him.

I suppose they can concentrate on NT-Dev for a while, but what would that do their trps?

I don't think it's possible to have so many bank episodes for 2 weeks it's just too much , coz this is a show that comes 5 days in a week. To have so much bank episodes, they will stress the actors much more than they are doing now and I think even 20 hours shoot is already tooo much....

I also felt so sorry for Gurmeet...........gosh it was so obvious that he's ill and his voice has become so weak, but still he was there and I really admire Gurmeet for that. I cannot praise this talented actor enough seeing so much sincerity & dedication towards his work & fans..........truly commendable.
I so hope he gets enough rest and they can focus on other characters for the time being.
And I must say that even the production house is considerate & very kind to allow Gurmeet to take rest fully and even change the story because of his illness. I read so many times that other production houses don't even give a dime if someone is ill or whatever............they still have to shoot ( don't know if all these stories are true or not )
I think they are trying their best to keep the show running and we should at least acknowledge the hard work & effort they put in .....

while this is true - one still has to ask at what cost?? Gurmeet is sick and they still have to shoot with him and his condition gets worse then what?? how will they work around a longer absence?? there has to be a better way/solution.

I am not familiar with how shows are made and if the unbanked epis thing is universal or happens only in our indian shows. If it does happen only in India then why not elsewhere? what is being done differently and how can that be incorporated here in india?

Niha, do write about how the shows get made(but technical samajh mein aaye aisa likhna ha) so that we know what all goes into entertaining us and making us drool over one character versus wanting to throw something at another. will wait for ur post and do PM if possible when u make that post.

Niha, do post your knowledge about how these shows are made. I don't know much about how Indian serials work.

I know that in US, serials are made atleast 2 or 3 weeks ahead of time. But they have many diff stories going on at same time. Some are featured and some are on back burner , they call it.

In Geet show's case, mainly the leads are featured. So we get tons of Maneet and we all love it, but it's extremely hard for the actors to be in every shot, every day. So other cast members should be featured in addition in an interesting way to hold the TRPs. This is just my opinion.

The CVs are great. They do keep in touch with the viewers in FB and they are giving the status of Gurmeet. So we know what's really going on. The CVs themselves are over-worked and are under tremendous pressure to present the show to the channel.
