Armaan and Shilpa....don't they just amuse and intrigue you? Just like Siddhanth and Riddhima warm you up and put this big stupid smile on your face?
Day before and yesterday , when i saw the ArShi scene , i was touched by Shilpa and rather amused by Armaan. Does he even realize that he is looking so long at a closed door that he has idea how much this woman gets under his skin? Nobody gets a reaction out of Armaan at the moment except Shilpa. I mean , look at it this way..... Armaan pretends everywhere that everything is normal , especially in front of Siddhanth and Riddhima - I am good. I have moved on. I am cool. I just want you to be happy. All is well and blah , blah and some more blah...... BUT....Armaan cannot and does not pretend in front of Shilpa. There , he unleashes all the bitterness, all the pain and all the ugly dark emotions like a rocket launcher. He screams at her - is rude to her , treats her like a punching bag , hurts her all the time .... and then, he feels sorry , her words of comfort echo in his ears , he meets her the next day and smiles at her , no longer the monstrous self that he unleashed last night on her.....So, does this beautiful stranger get under his skin? Yes, she does.
Armaan doesn't know Shilpa much but subconsciously , he knows that she sees through him , is concerned for him for no logical reason and simply by her words , she pricks him where it hurts the most. He is baffled and taken aback by her and with his own emotional baggage being so over weighing , the last thing you expect him to handle is this nymph of a woman who is making inroads into him. Armaan can't handle himself at the moment , how do you expect him to handle Shilpa who takes his life by a storm everytime that she sees him.
Right now, it's only Shilpa who gets a REAL reaction out of him ....infact , as Lennie said, if SR or others were to see Armaan's behaviour with Shilpa in the recreation room , they would be shocked at his bitterness and rudeness. But that is Armaan's present state and he cannot pretend in front of Shilpa.
Moreover, Shilpa doesn't tolerate Armaan's sadistic and rude approach .... she doesn't quietly listen like Sid , she doesn't do sweet talk like Riddhima..... no... she looks at Armaan with her big limpid brown pools and tells him in his face .... Listen dude, you are your own enemy and unless you want to do something about it , we ain't opening Red Cross for you....
Strange, isn't it?..... Shilpa asked herself about Armaan.... Main use jaanti hi kitnaa hoon.... and Armaan asked her the same thing.... Tum mujhe jaanti hi kitnaa ho?.... If only they both knew... you don't need biography prints to know someone.... sometimes , you just look at each-other and you both know that you have always been there....
In the precap , Armaan is not taken in by Shilpa's beauty , i mean , come on , she looks equally beautiful in whatever she wears..... he is mesmerized by the picture of divinity and pious peace that she represents while doing that religious ritual. For a few fleeting seconds , he has a completely different picture of her and that is why that small smile on his face and his non-stop stare at her.... lolz, now, Shilpa will know how Sid stares at Riddhima non-stop , bina aankhein blink kiye.... she wanted to know... didn't she?
