Aug 4th Written Update

Part 1

Aastha lifts up Krishna and tells him not to feel bad about what anyone says because his Mama & Papa love him very much, just as much as his little brother. Avni walks in just then and becomes very upset as she hears what Aastha says. Aastha is surprised to see her and tells Krishna look your Avni aunty is here. Avni is staring at Aastha with a worried look on her face so Aastha asks her what's wrong. Avni manages a little smile and asks her if there's something she would like to share with her. Aastha avoids Avni's eyes and says nervously that nothing's wrong. Avni asks if she's sure because her eyes are saying something else. Aastha lies and says she's just tired. Avni lets it go. She opens a little jewelry box and gives Aastha 2 gold chains which Indira has sent for the 2 boys. Aastha thanks her sincerely and Avni says she'll leave now. Aastha stops her and asks if she's angry with her. Avni says she's not angry but she's worried because whether Aastha tells her or not she knows what's happening. She says that she had warned Aastha earlier that when she has her own child Krishna would be treated as a stranger. Aastha denies that this is happening, she won't allow it to happen. She asks Avni not to worry. Avni leaves.

Next moring, Ramakant is sitting in the garden with the baby happily telling him stories of Gopal. Shivam comes and tells him they are getting late for going to the mandir. He says he lost track of time while chatting with the baby. He gives the baby to Ganga and leaves with Shivam.

Kavita is watching over Meena's baby daughter. Meena comes and thanks her. She tells Kavita that she must be so bored at home all day since Ramakant stopped her from working. She suggests that she could look after her baby for her all day, she won't mind. Bulbul comes asking Meena for help with homework. Meena tells her she has no time, ask your aunty Kavita. Meena takes the baby and leaves. Kavita asks Bulbul to show her what she needs help with. She says it's very simple and begins to explain to Bulbul. When she's finished explaining Bulbul smiles and thanks her saying that she made it so easy for her to understand, just like Soham uncle. Kavita feels sad hearing his name. Bulbul asks her why did Soham uncle leave. Kavita rushes her off saying she'll be late for school.

Aastha has Krishna on her lap as she changes the baby explaining to Krishna. Krishna's hand touches that baby and Ramakant shouts out to her not to let "that child" touch his grandson. Aastha stands up immediately. He tells her angrily maybe you didn't understand so let me tell you clearly – keep this unlucky child away from my grandson!!! Ramakant storms off leaving Aastha feeling hurt. Just then Shivam walks in and happily goes over to his 2 sons. He sees her looking distracted. He asks her what's wrong but she quickly brushes is off saying she'll go fix his breakfast.

She hears him chatting with the boys asking them what magic have they done, one of his sons made his grandpa forget about going to mandir and the other one made his mama forget about him. He says the saying is true – it's only when you become a parent that you realize the joy children bring to your life.

Aastha looks at Shivam, how happy he is with the children. She says to herself that can't bear to tell him how differently Ramakant is behaving towards the 2 children – one is like a light in his life and the other he considers a bad omen. She says if Shivam finds out about this he will not be able to bear it and he will want to leave again. She says she'll pray that god will have mercy on her little Krishna and everyone will accept him as Kanha's Prasad like they did before. She smiles as she looks at her innocent little Krishna.

Part 2

Shivam is just arrived at office and is taking his bag out of the car. Soham approaches him and congratulates him on the birth of his second son. Soham says that he has brought a little gift for the baby. Shivam hesitates to accept so Soham turns to leave disappointedly. Shivam calls him back and accepts the gift. He thanks him sincerely and then Soham leaves.

Aastha is sitting in her room remembering Ramakant's words then Avni reminding her that she had warned her of this.

Aastha calls Avni who answers happily. Aastha apologizes for not confinding in her. She finally breaks down and tells Avni that Ramakant is reacting in exactly the way that Avni had warned he would. Avni says she doesn't understand how Shivam is condoning Ramakant's behaviour. Aastha tells Avni that Shvivam doesn't know what happened because she fears that Shivam would want to leave again and she doesn't want that to happen. Aastha says she wants to have the blessings of everyone in the family. Aastha says she believes that some day Ramakant will change and accept Krishna as his grandson also.

Avni says that she doesn't want to argue with her about her life and her family, she just hopes and prays that she will get the status that she deserves now that she has given the family an heir and hopes that Krishna will be in turn be happy and will be accepted by Ramakant.

Aastha thanks Avni for giving her courage. Avni says she's happy to be able to help her.

Shivam returns and asks for the children. She tells him that they are with their grandma listening to her childhood stories. Shivam laughs then gives her the gift that Soham sent. Aastha happily accepts it. Ramakant comes and asks Shivam who sent the gift. Shivam fumbles for an answer. Aastha quickly covers saying that it is from one of his friends. The answer satisfies Ramakant.

Meena arrives and is listening with a somewhat jealous look on her face and she hears the proyd Ramakant making preparations for his grandson. He happily tells them that a puja has to be done then to be followed by the Namkaran ceremony. Shivam & Aastha nod in agreement. Aastha turns and notices Meena's jealous expression.

Part 3

Shivam says he'll take the gift to the baby. Shivam & Ramakant leave. Meena leaves looking sad and disappointed. She bumps into Gaurav on the way out and he notices her expression. He asks Aastha what's wrong with Meena. Aastha explains that Meena is feeling hurt seeing how happily Ramakant is making preparations for his grandson whereas he is not even bothered about his grand-daughter. Aastha says that she tried to give Meena hope by explaining that there should be no discrimination against male and female children but it is clear that Ramakant maintains the difference and this is what hurts Meena. She tells that Meena needs his love and support. She says that she is younger than him and should not be giving him advice like this.

Gaurav says that she is absolutely right but he just can't forgive Meena for the terrible things she did to Krishna. Aastha tells him that if she can forgive Meena why can't he also forgive her. Gaurav tells her that her heart is so big, he wishes that God will bless her with happiness always. He leaves. Aastha thinks to herself that the only blessing she wishes for is for Krishna to be accepted by the entire family and receive their love and blessing.

Shivam is playing with Krishna & the baby. Aastha comes and sees. Shivam is telling the baby that his brother's name is Krishna when Krishna repeats after Shivam and says his name. Both Aastha & Shivam are shocked to hear him speak and encourage him to say his name again. Krishna repeats his name. Just then Ramakant walks in. He says that he has something important to tell them. He wants to atone for his mistake. He says that "this child" (referring to Krishna) should not have such a sacred name as Krishna; he wants his grandson to be called Krishna and they should find some other name for "this child" (referring to Krishna). Aastha & Shivam look at Ramakant in shock and disbelief at what he has said. Episode ends.

Precap

Shivam tells Ramakant very emphatically that what he wants will not happen. He is not going to to take away the name from Krishna to give it to his younger son.
