Geet: Real story sidelined? - Page 4

I think in yesterday's episode they brought back the original message of the show by showing a stronger and more determined Geet who did not hesitate to pick up her bag and walk out. I don't know whether this was part of the original script or they were rectifying their blunders in the earlier episodes. Either way it appears that the makers have not totally forgotten the theme of this show. Yes, a lot of trp raising scenes are added and knowing Maan's holding power, frequent bare body shots are shown but I would not want to write off the show yet. Lets see how it pans out in the weeks/months to come. As long as they don't make it a habit of only concentrating on the frivolous stuff forget that they have a really strong story base, I guess I will stick with them.

Agree that this is very different from what it started out as. After that visit to the embassy, Geet's entire character suddenly changed to being completely dominated by this larger than life boss of hers and showing that she can be the best secretary he can have.

But that can make sense? She had to learn a lot in a very short time to keep her job. Geet has always been about how important it is to keep her job. That is her independence. Otherwise she will die or lose her baby for sure. From Maan, she learnt how to be independent about other people's views also.

So this part in Delhi is also about how Geet is growing as an independent woman. It is her wish whether she wants to be with a man and take care of herself and her baby. Or be independent and take care of her baby on her own. That is also a choice that girls like Geet have. So why not show it, and use it in the story?

There was a promo for the show which showed people naming their newborn
baby "geet" because she had become known throughout india for some
reason. I am sure that reason is not her falling in love with Maan!

well yeah, they must not deviate from what they actually wanted to show, but the way i see it, that particular track where they showed her trying to fight for herself gave them dismal trps and this almost led to the shows early exit- i think that is why they brought in this romance waala track-but the way i have seen with most star one shows, the shows have all started with some strong message in mind but have settled for being love stories.. that make legendary couples... i am not complaining, but i guess thats the genre of the channel, and their attempt to break away from it didnt work out too well for them...
so i doubt, if they will divert from this one.. and since the TRP's have risen and brought Geet to the top now, i highly doubt, if they will move away from this plot...
however, i am hoping geet would fight for herself when time comes ... and yes, she must stop jumping and running around if she really wants to stay pregnant for a whole nine months and actually fight for her baby!!!

I guess once Geet meets Dev again, the sidelined story will be back on track. After all, she's in Delhi to track down the culprit.

Didn't she say yesterday that nothing would stand in the way of her responsibilities (read baby) not even herself.

For the sake of trps, they'll throw in a few happening scenes/episodes but once Dev appears, she will try to hold him accountable and hopefully make him pay.

I feel the honour killing aspect has been taken care of with Brij in prison....that might not be touched upon again.
