From chick flicks to action thrillers, here's Masala.com's list of films to queue up for

We're ready to become 'Dabangg', give in to our 'Lafangey' side, and explore the 'Anjaana Anjaani' way of life...and Bollywood's releases this year are helping us get there. Big stars, surprising stories, great songs, and twists in the tale - the movies up ahead in 2010 offer all that and more. Check them out! And do write in and tell us which one you're most looking forward to.

1. Aisha
Who's in it? Sonam Kapoor, Abhay Deol, Cyrus Sahukar, Arunoday Singh, Ira Dubey, Amrita Puri and Lisa Haydon
Release Date: August 6
So we love our rom-coms, and this one seems to have all that's needed for great film candy. Great story? It's based on Jane Austen's Emma, people – so, check! Cool star cast? Our indy fave Abhay Deol and the stylish Sonam – check. Good music? Amit Trivedi from 'Dev D' scores again – check times three! What we also like about 'Aisha' is that the supporting actors – Ira Dubey, Cyrus Sahukar, Amrita Puri - seem to have just as much substance (and we think screen-time too) as the leads. Remember 'Jaane Tu…Ya Jaane Na' and how it worked for that very reason?

2. Peepli Live
Who's in it? Omkar Das Manikpuri and Raghuveer Yadav
Release Date: August 13
Just two words why this movie has such a buzz about it – Aamir Khan. He's Bollywood's Man With The Golden Touch alright. Every time people wonder how he can pull off something extraordinary, he demonstrates how it's done. For all those going – "Will a satire on farmer suicides work?" – think about all those who asked "Will a cricket drama set in pre-independence India work?", "Will a movie about a dyslexic kid work?", "Will Aamir playing a college student work?" 'Lagaan', 'Taare Zameen Par', and 'Three Idiots' are now the stuff of box office history. 'Peepli Live' has an unusual subject, a first-time director, and hardly a known face in the cast. But the promos seem super funny, and make us think seriously about the state of the nation too. Just the combination that Aamir's hits follow.

3. Lafangey Parindey
Who's in it? Neil Nitin Mukesh and Deepika Padukone
Release date: August 20
A blind dancer and a blindfolded boxer…now those aren't your usual filmi characters. Plus, Deepika and Neil's characters are called Pinky Palkar and One-Shot Nandu! We wonder if director Pradeep Sarkar (the man behind the wonderful 'Parineeta' and the forgettable 'Laaga Chunri Mein Daag') is channeling Guy Ritchie here! The movie's set in the mean streets of Mumbai, and we're thinking that the realism there combined with the 'what was that?' moments – Deepika doing a ballet of sorts on skates - will make for an interesting movie. And yes Neil showing off his totally ripped bod in vests doesn't hurt either!

4. We Are Family

Who's in it? Kajol, Kareena Kapoor and Arjun Rampal
Release Date: September 3
When Karan Johar announced that he was remaking 'Stepmom', we had a feeling that the role played by Susan Sarandon in the original would go to Kajol. She is Karan's fave actress (and his lucky mascot too). Then it was revealed that the stepmom part would be played by Kareena Kapoor (another Karan fave), and the stage was set for an acting showdown. When the two stars acted together in 'Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham', Kajol had the meatier part while Kareena had the hotter part (though playing Poo wasn't her proudest acting experience). Is 'We Are Family' going to be a repeat of that? Will Bebo have stepped up her game? Or will Kajol just act her off the screen? We're really curious to find out. Have a feeling someone is going to walk away with a lot of awards for their part in this movie. Which K is it going to be?

5. Dabangg
Who's in it? Salman Khan, Sonakshi Sinha, Arbaaz Khan and Sonu Sood
Release Date: September 10
Salman Khan as Chulbul 'Robin Hood' Pandey is the funniest thing we've seen in a while. What we like about 'Dabangg' is that it takes us back to a time when heroes were larger than life and their dialogues that made us want to whistle. Director Abhinav Kashyap's movie seems at once to have all the good points of a Bollywood potboiler, a kitschy Western, and a timeless romance. Sonakshi Sinha makes her debut in the movie, and though we've only heard her speak one line in the promo, she says that one line with such controlled emotion and such style, we're quite impressed. Coming back to Salman, he sure knows how to have fun with a part (just like he did in 'Wanted'). We see that madness in 'Dabangg' too, and we like it!

6. Anjaana Anjaani

Who's in it? Ranbir Kapoor, Priyanka Chopra and Zayed Khan
Release date: September 20
After shooting for a longish schedule of 'Anjaana Anjaani', Ranbir and Prinks came back looking like twins (check out our pictures for proof!) That right there makes us curious about this movie! Seriously though, 'AA' does seem intriguing. Two people meet as they're both about to commit suicide, and then go on a journey that changes them both. Director Siddharth Anand (the man who gave Ranbir 'Bachna Ae Haseenon') knows how to combine romance, comedy and drama, and we have a feeling this one will have all three in just the right amounts. Will it make for a hattrick of hits for Ranbir, after 'Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani' and 'Raajneeti'? We'll be waiting to watch.

7. Golmaal 3
Who's in it? Ajay Devgn, Kareena Kapoor, Arshad Warsi, Tusshar Kapoor, Shreyas Talpade and Mithun Chakraborty
Release date: November 5
The crazy group are back, and they've got some new faces to add to the laughter fest that is the Golmaal movie. Director Rohit Shetty's franchise seems to go from strength to strength, adding more stars along the way. So Arshad Warsi and Mithun Chakraborty bring their distinctive sense of fun to this one. We're all set to be entertained with a lot of new jokes.

8. Guzaarish
Who's in it? Hrithik Roshan, Aishwarya Rai and Monikangana Dutta
Release date: November 19
It's the movie for which Hrithik gained tons of weight, it's the movie where he plays a paraplegic, it's the movie where he does a jazz dance that was an 'out-of-body experience'. And he teams up with his 'Dhoom 2' co-star Ash yet again. But this is definitely no tale of two gorgeous thieves, not with Sanjay Leela Bhansali directing. She plays a nurse (a married nurse, we hear) who starts to fall for her patient played by Hrithik. Is it sort of back to 'Black' territory for Bhansali? Don't know about that but we have a feeling HR will sink his teeth into the role. Looking forward to it.

9. Khelein Hum Jee Jaan Se
Who's in it? Abhishek Bachchan and Deepika Padukone
Release date: December 3
This movie follows 'Raavan' for Abhishek, and 'What's Your Rashee?' for Ashutosh Gowariker. Think it'll lead to box office success? The historical gets its story from the book 'Do and Die' by Manini Chatterjee, based on the Chittagong Uprising of 1930. For Ashutosh, it's a return to what he does best – a period piece in the tradition of 'Lagaan' and 'Jodhaa Akbar'. And Abhishek has a part where he can show off his dramatic talent. Plus, he teams up with Deepika here, and they make for an interesting jodi we think.

10. Tees Maar Khan
Who's in it? Akshay Kumar, Katrina Kaif, Akshaye Khanna and Arya Babbar
Release Date: December 24
From the director of 'Om Shanti Om'…we're ready to buy our ticket just from that piece of info! We're fans of Farah Khan's pure masala style of moviemaking, and 'Tees Maar Khan' seems to be proudly following that tradition. It stars Akki instead of SRK, but we're sure the formula is the same apart from that. So we know there'll be some chartbusters (Kat bellydancing to 'Sheela Ki Jawani'), some surprises (What is Akshaye Khanna doing in this movie?), and we think some starry guest appearances (Who will it be this time?) and a fun show all the way.
