@ bold, LOVED that line of yours and it's so true.😆 He just sat there smiling while Anil was talking about how amazing it is to experience people in villages and small towns recognizing you. In fact, Abhay moves away from Mumbai to New York once in a while just for moving about incognito and wanting people NOT to recognize him and lead a regular life lol. So, it doesn't seem like he craves that 'high' of stardom and just want to act in good movies which is awesome of course. 😆
But I do think Abhay is trying to change his image now with Aisha and ZMND like he said in the interview.

LOL thanks....I think Abhay might be doing Aisha and ZNMD just out of an urge to mix things up....like he said in the interview also....he was only being offered Dev D type grungy roles after the success of the movie....so he probably wanted a change from that....a relief....a different direction....which makes sense cuz we're talking about a guy here who took off to NY to do a WELDING course out of the blue😆

i loved the interview, arent sonam and abhay dating? They always say a daugther thats close to her father tries to look for someone just like him.

Just watched the whole interview.. it was very cool xD haha as most Abhay interviews.

but I kinda didn't really like/understand why Anil Kapoor thinks that Abhay'll be "in the maidaan" once he starts doing the action-flick-song-dance-routine like all the other actors.
What if thats what how Abhay wants his career graph to be like 😕

and OMG, Abhay completely hit target when he talked about how Hollywood roles for Indian men aren't like... well, agenda-less. How they're offered cab driver-shop owner style roles -_- its so so true.

"I didn't face any issues during Aisha" - Abhay Deol

Aisha is up for release and the film is seeing some intensive promotional drive from its leading lady Sonam Kapoor. Meanwhile, Abhay Deol is currently abroad while shooting for Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara with Hrithik Roshan, Farhan Akhtar and Katrina Kaif. While he is currently absent from the promotional scene, well physically at least, he did ensure that he pitches in as much as possible into media before flying away.

While closer home, there were murmurs around him facing issues during the filming of Aisha, Abhay comes up with an outright denial and states that all such stories were nothing but plain imagination that didn't carry any standing whatsoever.

"Really, I didn't face any issues whatsoever", says Abhay when questioned if such rumours were indeed true, "On the contrary, I had so much fun making this film. I don't know from where these stories were coming from. Or perhaps if I think really hard, I could actually trace their origin. Well, let it go!"

He is also amused in the manner some stories are built regardless of what an actor says on the records.

"Some journos put a question in such a manner that whatever you say, it goes on to become a headline", smiles Abhay, "For example if someone asked me that whether I had an affair with the leading lady of my film, my answer will surely make a headline, whether I say 'yes' or 'no'. They think that we actors don't get it but that's not the case at all. We are not dumb but if someone is just hell bent on making a headline, you have to just let it go."

It's the stance of all izz well that Abhay is taking, now that the film is just a few days away from release.

"By and large it was quite good making this film", Abhay gets serious here, "Sonam and me really got along well and whatever you read about any issues whatsoever is nothing but plain rumour. As I said, it is just a game of headline."

Well, rightly said Abhay, we too got one!
