Geet's feelings were always there

Friday's episode has shown us that Geet is slowly beginning to unravel her own feelings and has begun to question the significance of Maan in her life. Up till now the CVs haven't given us an insight into Geet's feelings towards Maan, instead we have seen the luv story predominantly from Maan's POV.

For Maan, his feelings for Geet have grown gradually and now he has come to a stage where he has admitted his feelings to himself, but refuses to accept it, hence the inner struggle to shut it out. Geet on the other hand has not given us a reason to believe that she is falling for Maan. However, that is all on face value. If we think more about it, perhaps it can be said that Maan ignited a flame within her heart a very long while ago.

MaaNeet are two contrasting characters, therefore their behaviours and outlook to life are very different. Which is why I'm not surprised that their approach to their respective feelings have been different. We all know how Maan's luv for Geet has progressed. But for Geet it has been different and that's probably down to situation and personality. Geet has been through a traumatic period in her life and left her home with one aim in mind. And by nature she is full of innocence and a hint of naivety. I think she has been completely oblivious to her feelings but she has had them for quite some time now. If that was not the case then why has she put up with Maan for so long? Why did she accept his indifferent behaviour at work? She is a self respecting girl, she wouldn't have put up with it if it was another man but since it's Maan, it's different. Why? Because she has developed feelings for him that have not come to the surface as yet.

But Friday's epi showed us Geet asking herself why Maan's words hurt her so much. And it's true. Only the people you luv can have the ability to hurt you the most. Maan manages to hurt Geet with his words because he has cemented a place for himself in her heart. She just never knew. But Friday showed us a different side to Geet. It wasn't all of a sudden, it was brewing from the offset. But when Maan questioned her character, that was the turning point. And when she told him that she would rather not see his face, her own words hurt her more than Maan. She was horrified to see him leave. That was quite telling. And the final scene where Maan's picture cracks and her dupatta gets stuck, she has flashbacks of Maan and all the moments where he became her saviour. For the first time we actually saw Geet worry for Maan. I guess Friday was all part of Geet's inner feelings coming to the forefront.

Finally, I would like to add that I'm super excited about Mon! I hope we get to see the Dargah sequence. Can't wait any longer. Teri Deewani (one of my fav songs) has the line, "khoob lagado pehre raste Rab khole." This is very apt for MaaNeet. Whether it is Dev or Sameera for that matter, no one can come between MaaNeet. Yes, there might be complications on the way but ultimately MaaNeet's luv will succeed cuz luv has the ability to conquer all. These two characters are perhaps more alike than we think. Both are emotionally damaged, not being able to let go of a bitter past. I don't think Geet luvs Dev anymore and the same goes for Maan and his ex. But both of them have not been able to make peace with the past, hence the bitterness. But they will be able to heal each other with time. Their feelings are not mere attraction. They understand each other on a completely different level but circumstances haven't allowed them to explore their emotions. Perhaps after the Dargah sequence they will be able to do so.

Guys, sowiee for the long post. I don't really like making posts that are more than 3 lines lol 😆 but I had to go into a bit more detail.

Have a nice weekend everyone.

Aaliya.x 😊

Great post! Totally agree! I feel like they both harbored some sort of feelings or an attraction for each other the day they met, but because of their respective circumstances it never surfaced..

I said this in another post, I am repeating the same here:

Love does not need time to develop...it can happen in an instance and that too a deep abiding love that is based on respect, care, and trust, which are already there in GEET for MAAN from the instance when she met him in Hoshiarpur.

For instance, in their first meeting, why did she chose him out of all those random people out there to help her, rescue her, it is destiny, but it is also a recognition of character as to who is trustworthy and who is not! So it is a natural phenom.

And secondly, GEET is a very spontaneous person who does things naturally, she is not timid or is not a control freak.

For Maan it took ages because he has learnt to control his emotions. In Geet's case, she is spontaneous and instantaneous.

She does not bottle it up like MAAN. If both of them behave in a similar manner, it would not make sense at all! So the CVs have dealt with this aspect very well.
