Agreed that Veer lost his mobile. But they must have found Vansh's mobile right with the sent SMS and calls. Where is it?

when veer wouldnt show his sms to mattoo (what was the whole big deal with the cop's name and not being a thakur thing) i kept yelling at the tv. then veer says his phone is misplaced. but then i kept yelling at him to find vansh's cell. my mom got fed up of my muttering and yelling and said - if they find vansh and veer and sid's cell how will the story move.
