dutta is such an enigma for me!!

ok so honestly speaking i began watching this show about 2 months ago mainly for mishal before i realised that this show has a pretty good story line too.

He didn't kill Seema, he left her lying there, but she was very alive then. The thing is, he was young and head over heels in love with her. That's why her betrayal hurt him so much more than Supriya's. He might have liked Supriya, but agreeing to give the relationship a chance was first mainly for his mother. And Naku. He didn't love her. Her betrayal still hurt him though. He was humiliated in front of everybody and Supriya's letter was so horrible, it would anyone make lose his mind. But what hurt him even more was the thought Naku could have been a part of all this. Because she was what he considerated a close friend, while Supriya was mainly just a pretty face, an ordinary girl that could have easily been replaced. And Naku, the girl he opened up to, the girl who made him do things he wasn't used to or didn't like to do (like going to Supriya to say "thank you" for cooking), the girl whose advices he always took to heart, she stabbed him in the back (she didn't of course, but he thought so). To kill her would have been the easy way of punishment for her. But he couldn't. So he gave her the worst punishment he could think of for the worst crime; marry her. Since he does think as himself as a horrible person, a monster.

<div>i mean take his love history for instance...when he found out that his first love seema betrayed him for his boss he goes ahead and kills her and the boss...this was when they were not even engaged! but when supriya betrays him and runs away with the other guy on their wedding day, dutta doesn't even try to track her and that guy down...i mean shouldn't this hurt more than seema's betrayal..seema was just his girlfriend but supriya was going to become his wife! and its been a month now since that incident happened and he hasn't mentioned her or tried to look for her.

and finally on his wedding day when he thinks that naku betrayed him in helping sups escape andafter she declares her love for him....he goes ahead and marries her!! this was when kala was so sure that he wud either throw her out or kill her too! maybe i'm confused about his character because i havent watched this show frm the start but this guy is sooo confusing and infuriating!!

i don't think so i cud understand him even if i had many psycho analysis sessions with him! and this is only his love life! don't know where to begin with the remaining him!!

I look at his reaction this way...he was feeling intense betrayal in Naku's case as he really loved her. Naku is really his soul-mate. Sups as Eva said is a pretty face which can be replaced. But not Naku.
Btw we are only assuming Dutta has stopped looking for Sups...maybe he hasnt. Usually the CVs of this show never forget an old incident or track.

Exactly. I kept on thinking that maybe one day suddenly Sups and Ravi would be dragged back and we get to know that Dutta actually always had cast his net wide without us knowing about it. And that's exactly what I love about the TPTB of this show, they never, not even while IPL disappointed me. Yes, they tested our patience, but they always did a great job. They don't let details slip, they never show anything in vain and so on. I honestly don't know how other shows handle this and, to be honest, from what I read here and there while surfing the site, I'm not too keen about finding out.
