This beautiful "trinamool" kind of song in Aamir's new movie is making a few waves already. Ofcourse, why not? ... Beyond the handful of people for whom it doesnt really matter, this price hike (even increasing prices by as less as Rs. 2) does challenge the ordinary Indian in an outstanding way.
I am not trying to demean any segment of society here, so please pardon my words ... but I once opened a thread (last winter) about street urchins in Delhi and how they line up outside food outlets with torn cloth asking for the leftovers. When my wife came out they surrounded her expecting her left over coke, or some dollars in lucky (because I heard they consider the white person usually an American).
I saw the way they are "treated" or rather "ignored as non-existent" or even "considered a shame" by our modern generation of youths - some of whom in my POV were just trying too hard to have a COOL DUDE/HOT GAL attitude, with a perception of the west.
I dont mind ... certainly everyone can justify their own way of life. But I wonder how much the Indian always feel for the Indian. We often find people talking about a BOOMING INDIA ... but let us check further and does the money really trickle down to those who need it most? ...
I dont want to write too much. Just try and think about it once from their perspective too.
Do you really have nothing to say? (wherever you are now, but if you ever felt INDIAN) ...
