@Jetty:

Bloody primitive? ... Remember your parents and you yourself is an Indian. Lets not be so hard on them.

This rush, the desperation, all these might be due to the dire situation of our economy. These days I see TV commercials where children are shown to be trying their best to excel in EDUCATION, TENNIS, CRICKET, CHESS etc etc ... all in one go. How brute ... and if this is supposed to become the standard, then how painful the picture might come out in not so distant future.

We sure are desperate to move forward, each one of us ... but the problem is our INDIFFERENCE, lack or MORAL EDUCATION, lack of a good POLITICAL SYSTEM ... more essentially, the growing AMERICANISM (as labelled by leading ethics researches thoughout the world, another name of CONSUMERISM) along with the erosion of our true sentiments which used to decorate our actual traditions.

I know you are probably one of our millions who are deeply disappointed. But have you thought about it? ... If not us for them, then whom? ... Is this the India we want? ... A huge gap exists today ... while the Corporations become richer and more powerful, while more jobs with LIVING WAGES for a part of the METRO PEOPLE are being created ... the country atleast remains backward ... and more than that, regressing...

Such people are everywhere Jetty ... our farmers and poor are not necessarily one of these people. They are needy, and they are desperate ... and rightfully so ... its understandable. They have been abused thoroughly, and continue to be abused till date.

Do you even know that higher inflation does not necessarily mean that its only 'Price Rise'!! Do you know of the fact that inflation in India in mid-later half of 2009 was in negative figures!! Do you know that onions prices (retail) was Rs. 14/kg and today with an inflation of 12% the prices are Rs.16-18/kg.
Do you know that inflation means available of more money in-hand for a given amount of compodities!! and that this, in a way means more exchange of money!!
In deflation (negative inflation), its just that there is less money at disposal to chase same amount of goods n services. In other words, the value of money increases.
I am sure your Google God will not be able to tell you that Ladies finger in wholesale market of 'Okhla Mandi' costs Rs.6/kg and by the time it reaches the top of a redi-wala on the streets of Green Park or Sarojni Market hawkers, the retail price is Rs. 12-14/kg. Thsi has exchanged a few hands wid a price addition.
Inflation, while a cause of concern for Govt. and common man does not necessarily mean that prices are actually high. This is a notional and opportunist tactics to selll given amount of commodity at a higher price, coz the seller knows that thet buyer has more money at his disposal. Less inflation does not mean less prices of commodites but merely better control of money at disposal.
Simple ! but Google God wont tell you all this.
So now, for Pete's sake, remove those 'Greenban' . Get your economics and Googlomics right. Ask the G God to send the bird down to Indian soil to understand the dynamics of economy better.😆

lol shud we take this as license for presenting stark realities you witnessing every passing day? and other absurdities you been positing?

if you'd stop sneering for a moment, you'd see that sooner or later USA will be wantin to inflate their way out of their deficit. at least inflation in india is demand driven, arising from strong growth, signal to business that they can make a profit by building more capacity. in the US, you got nothin but a basket economy, with lots of states that got bigger deficits than most countries. lol. demand falling, defaltion in housing. most economists wud pick inflation over deflation. deflation's been japan's perennial problem.
