Update
Maan was dreaming
Geet and a little baby girl were laughing and smiling at him at a beach. He wondered where he was, and then realized it was Monaco, France- one of his favorite places in the world..Of course, Maan Singh Khurana chose the best. Anyways, Dadi was sitting on one of the beach chairs, near the water,seemingly asleep...or at least until the little girl went and woke her up.
Geet walked upto Maan and sliding her hands into his, smiled into his eyes.
Maan felt content, and light. Three ladies he loved more than himself were all there in front of him- all loved him and all of them were happy.
Geet called out to the girl of around..3 years?
Geet- Mehek!!!
Mehek- yes mom!! coming
Geet- Me and papa are going to get some ice creams for us all.. Are you staying with dadi?
Maan- how about me and my princess go and get the ice creams, while YOU Geet , stay with Dadi
Mehek- NO. I want to go with mommy and papa. Dadi must come too..
Geet- but Maan...
Maan- whatever my baby wants. Let's go!!
MAan woke up with a start.
Maan(to himself)- WHAT!!?? i have gone crazy...what am I dreaming of?!!
He looked at Geet, and immediately touched her forehead to check her temperature..she was still very hot, but cooler than last night.
Thank God, he sighed and just turned to stare at his wife for some more time before she opened those brown eyes
Geet opened them about 15 minutes later to see Maan staring at her.
Geet- Hey..What?
Maan- How are you feeling now?
Geet thought to herself- Well..If you let go of me, maybe I will be capable of thinking!
Geet said- i'm okay Maan. Let me go so I can get up.
Maan- Fine. Get up, but not for long. You are resting today. Doctor's orders.
Geet placed one hand on her hip and cocked her head to the side
Geet- really? Which doctor?
Maan- Doctor Maan Singh Khurana
Geet- but Maan..today I had to go meet Pinky and Adi
Maan- They can come here. You are staying in bed.
Geet looked at the side table and saw things she had been craving last night
Geet- Maan..Did I get up at night?
Maan- hain? Do you sleepwalk too?? Why am I not surprised? But no, yesterday you didn't. Why?
Geet- uh..because how else wouldI have gotten the things I am craving now?
Maan- you're craving chocolate and strawberries? I got them last night, thinking if you were hungry when you woke up, you could eat a little.
Geet smiled a beautiful and shy smile that melted Maan's insides
Geet- woh...thanks..
She proceeded to eat, with Maan again staring at her lovingly albeit amusedly.
after eating, she says
Geet- go get ready..I'm sure you have meetings today also
Maan- Yeah..About that. Im sorry I forgot. How can I make up for it?
Geet- I will think about it and let you know. For now..I'm angry with you
Maan- Geet. Look, I can't read your mind
Geet(to herself)- Thank God you can't
Maan- ...so you must tell me. I am clueless if you don't like anything or like something. And you don't even say anything about it. Most of the time, you talk about everything under the sun to irritate me...
Geet- Maan.You told me that you were not interested in my feelings or anything. So I don't share.
Maan- Geet..woh tab ki baat thi..now it's different.
Geet(crosses her arms across her chest)- What is different Maan?? You're still YOu...It seems all the changes, I'm going through. Do you know how difficult it is to live with you.
Maan seems very hurt..he is hurt but hides it under his anger
Maan- Geet. You are my wife and I thought it gave wives no greater happiness than to be good to their husbands.
Geet- We are not exactly the best example of a married couple you know. You married me out of duty. It's a marriage of convenience. Isn't it?
Isn't it, she had asked and he was still thinking about it.
Why was he treating it like a marriage of reality- where the two involved people loved each other to bits. She doesn't love me, so why am I assuming that she would take easily to being a wife, like I'm finding it okay to be her husband.
She's also doing her duty..which I was supposed to be doing, but no, I fell in love long before. Now, Obviously I can't say anything to her about THAt, nahi toh she would run away. Plus she barely has started to trust me. I think I will have to muster all my patience and love for her to wait..till she reaches where i am
Without answering her, he left the room.
Geet- What did I say? Isn't it...Of course it is..he treats it like one. Then why did I get all shy..why did I feel so safe and right when he had his arms around me. I think I'm just seeing him as a human being for the first time, and not some perfect robot..
that's it for now guys..can't type long at a stretch because i'm unwell..will give another update in the evening!
