The cold war on the sets of Star Plus daily Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii has Rupali Ganguly and Aamir Ali locking horns over differences they had while participating in Bluffmaster, a game show that aired on Star One.
Sources say things became bitter between the two when Aamir was deprived of the prize money the actors won in a special episode of Bluffmaster.
However, Ganguly denies this. "I have the reputation of fighting with all my male co-stars; but it's all in good humour. And as far as Aamir is concerned, we share a cordial relationship. You cannot be great friends with all your colleagues. Also, we hardly share screen space, so where's the time to fight?"
Dignified response
Ali was more forthcoming. "It's true that we had some differences, and since then, we are no more on talking terms. But it's below my dignity to dig out the past and talk about it publicly. I've forgotten about what Rupali did to me, and don't want to humiliate her by discussing the issue."
In a special episode last year, telly actors Sanjit Bedi, Shraddha Nigam, Vivek Mushran along with Ali and Ganguly, had participated. The group won Rs 4,50,000. While the prize money was divided equally among all actors, Ali was kept away.
Sanjit's doing
Says an actor who wished not to be named, "Sanjit took the effort to divide the sum. He took care of the income tax and other formalities. I think it was unfair of him to deprive Aamir from it, as we won the sum because of team effort.
As far as I know, Aamir never really quarrelled over the money but had voiced his displeasure to them. After that, he stopped interacting with all of us. Rupali was quite close to him and would even land up at his place to have biryani. But now it's all over."
