DOTW: How Far Should One Adjust?

Hello everyone here at the SGP Forum! I am sure all of you must be as relieved as I am that Rajni, Disha & Suhana have finally patched up and now peace & love will once again reign in the Kashyap household! So we thought we'll come up with another DOTW. Through this discussion we hope to go beyond the current storyline'a little in the past'a little in the present'maybe also in the future, and try to understand the thought process and logic of some of the characters.

First and foremost'what was Suhana's father thinking when he got her married to someone like Ishaan? Did he not realize how difficult it would be for Suhana to adjust to such a household? Or is it that he knew his daughter better than she knew herself'that he knew that Suhana will be happiest in such a family & will learn to adjust?

Do you feel KK did an injustice on Ishaan & the Kashyap family by not divulging to them exactly how pampered Suhana really is? Did he spare a thought for how they will adjust & accept Suhana?

How are the family members adjusting to Suhana? Are they giving her sufficient time & space to change her ideas?

Is Suhana trying to adjust in her new house & family? Has she started the journey from Suhana Bajpai to Suhana Kashyap? Is she really making the transition? Does she realize she has to change?

Ishaan'do you feel bad for him? He has accepted Suhana as she is! But Suhana wants to change many things in Ishaan'from his khatara scooter to his glares! What are your thoughts on SuShaan's relationship?

Where do you see the story going in the near future? Will Suhana realize her mistake & be more careful? Will Rajni & Disha accept that though Suhana can make appalling mistakes, she also will always stand by their sides'with them & for them?

Okay here are my answers:

- I think that her father wanted a family like Ishaan because both of his daugther have never experienced a joint family experience. When he first met Ishaan's family he was surprised to see how this family lives together with soo much love and understanding between all. I don't think he thought that Suhana would feel that her life is ruined just because the family isn't rich. He was more after the love and understanding between the family.

Do you feel KK did an injustice on Ishaan & the Kashyap family by not divulging to them exactly how pampered Suhana really is? Did he spare a thought for how they will adjust & accept Suhana?

- I think he is at fault to some extent. But again Ishaan knew Suhana and her lifestyle beforehand so I think KK didn't do any injustice with Ishaan. But maybe with the Kashyap family, but again Ishaan knew about her. I don't think he thought about how Suhana or the Kashyap family would adjust with Suhana though.

How are the family members adjusting to Suhana? Are they giving her sufficient time & space to change her ideas?

- I think the family is def. giving Suhana enough time espeicaally Badima and I think everyone is except the bhabis. 😆 She feel they already have been giving Suhana enough time and how they feel that Suhana doesn't care for anyones feelings.

Is Suhana trying to adjust in her new house & family? Has she started the journey from Suhana Bajpai to Suhana Kashyap? Is she really making the transition? Does she realize she has to change?

- I think physically she is but not mentally. I mean in one of the last weeks epsiode when she was reading her mom's letter she was crying and saying that she can never adjust in this family's lifestyle even though these people are really nice. Physically she is living with the family but mentally she feels that she can't adjust. Though I do feel that she has started her journey from Bajpai to Kashyap by understanding what a family, yet she does not realize that she has to change.

Ishaan'do you feel bad for him? He has accepted Suhana as she is! But Suhana wants to change many things in Ishaan'from his khatara scooter to his glares! What are your thoughts on SuShaan's relationship?

-Ishaan def. has feelings towards Suhana and she doesn't know that yet. She doesn't have any feelings towards him but we see a lot of changes within her from the day she enter Kashyap family to where she is now. She knows that Ishaan is a good person at heart but she feels that he is not meant to be for her. But once she realizes that what she thinks is worng then I think she would start to develop some feelings towards Ishaan.

- I think Suhana is somewhat realizing her mistakes but we never know i mean after ger friends came home for dinner she promised Badima for not doing such a thing that would hurt the bhabis but she ended up doing something that did hurt them a lot. But now that the bhabis know that Suhana does care for them they might give her some space to adjust fully to the family.

great post manansi...

iam going to discuss only the first two points..about KK's decision....

i think as a father KK would have realised that suhaana did not get the love of a mother and that of a family...suhaana has seen haer mother..has been with her and hence after her death would have missed her a lot..which is not the case of sanju...sanju may not have been with her mothre a lot...

so when KK saw the kashyap family he wished suhaana goes into a family like that...

fortunately or unfortunately sid refused to marry suhana and suhaana here sccepted to get married to any boy that her father will choose..

KK chose the kashyap family...

i think KK mentionaed that he failed to understand his daughter and how materialistic she is...he thought suhaana is like the typical girl who changes when going to her sasural...and she will get soo much love fromthe falmily...

next i think KK did give chances to suhaana to know more abt the boy and the family...which she din utilise...

sanju did ask KK how he thought suhaana cud adjust from which he did get doubt abt his decision..bt suhaana telling she trusts him made him change his mind...

so i would not say KK did a mistake from suhaana's side...bt on the kashyap's side..mildly..

cos the major mistake cud be that of ishaan cos he knew abt suhaana...he had met her before...all situations suhaana was never lovable..bt yet he liked her..

hope i made some sense...

but i would say no one made a mistake...everythingis going on well...

Wonderful points, all of them!

I really do not know what KK thought when he took that decision. It is still incredible to know that he assumed all would be well and he must try and make an appearance once in a while to ease things for the poor Kashyaps😆

And, you may call me a feminist but I do not see any need for Suhana to change from Suhana Bajpai to Suhana Kashyap. I mean, she can be understanding and more mellow but she does not need to give up who she is completely. She can become a better person and still be Suhana Bajpai!

Okay, he probably thought that only a household like the Kashyap's could mellow down Suhana. She'd learn a lot in there, and see more ascpects in life.

Yes.. But if the girl's from a rich family, it's a bit predictable she would be a bit spoil. So, no surprises there.

They're being the sweetest! I can't imagine too many families being so warm and welcoming to someone. :)

She's still kinda pampered, so, no, not much. But when she does realize, she'll try her best to fit in. :)

Awwh, Ishaan's too cute! So adjusting and all! He totally gives Suhana so much space! And is willing to wait for her. :)

Rajni and Disha may be upset for now. But they're very sweet jethani's otherwise. :) Soon they'll see Suhana doesn't ever intend on hurting them. =]
