My 3 bits, although everything has already been said, good bad, justification
first of all: sid was honest but truth hurts sometimes and since we live in a society we cannot be blatant and start speaking whatever comes to our mind without thinking, thinking and then speaking it properly is called maturity. Sushant said the exact same thing, but look at the words he used. so even though Sid was right in his way, it was rude of him to say it like that. he is not a school kid 10 yrs old who will say whatever comes to his mind, he is grown up man and he has to behave like that, and so when he doesnt people will obviously take offense. U cannot go on speaking your own mind without pondering and then blame it on people who think u r arrogant, its you who have to make sure how you represent yourself and your opinion. because after a while people will just not bother with you anymore, they will say oh its sid, he always speaks what comes to his mind without thinking of the appropriateness. there has been hazel who inspite of being consistently good was quite overlooked, did she go on rambling about how others stole limelight? like sanjeeda, mukti or rakhi?
Now, about the overhyped part. I ABSOLUTELY AGREE TO IT.
Mukti is a trained performer who has learned all the dance forms and she dances passionately, so she deserves to be praised and her talent should be appreciated.
but she isnt the one who overhyped herself, so lets not blame her. its the channel and the judges to be blamed and yes i BLAME them. what with all those +1 for mukti in the girls group acts all the time? towards the end, the girls did samba and mukti was the only one who stood out. and even though arshad complained this shouldnt be the case, it didnt stop him, or VM to give a +1 for mukti. what about abhishek? he stood out in that weeks group act and the chinese act, where was the +1 for abhishek? all these things naturally will give a sense of injustice to other contestants who r in the show, i mean all of them r hard working, talented, and even if they r non dancers they work hard enough to present a decent act. KK has been told he cannot dance, but what about the rock and roll khallas? he stood out and overshadowed a trained dancer like hazel. so i think its partly the judges fault. dont get me wrong, i adore them, they were wonderful judges, but when u r going gaga over praising someone, make sure that u use the same words for equally deserving candidates. Siddesh has been giving consistent performance through out the show, but yet he never got appreciated like mukti. it was as if it was expected that he wud be wonderful, and its natural!while they went gaga over mukti towards the end, so i guess he felt it was unjust. and i felt it too. not just sid, but also the other guys and girls too. there was hazel, she was i think the most un-appreciated performer out there.
but there is no point blaming any performer for the hype, coz its end of the day the judges decision and the channels. also i cannot blame the judges, maybe they showered equal praises but the channel edited them and showed only the mukti bits
either way: mukti was over hyped through no fault of hers.
last bit about the finale dance: i think all the 3 couples should have been judges separately. i personally felt karan was better than kritika in the waltz, he was more fluent lets say, sushant and mukti were equally good, without sushan't support mukti couldn't have been so good and hazel was better than abhishek and i didnt like the way the judges praised only mukti, coz the others worked hard too and they were equally good, wrt to their own performace level
