Misti, I have given up hope that they would show any inner turmoil or past history whatsoever. Initially, when they were keeping the relationship between Abhay and Kanika vague, I thought it is to keep a fake suspense. But, now that they have disclosed that Dev as Abhay was never Kanika's husband, nor Deepu's father, then they need to show Abhay thinking about the past and how he came to Kanika's house. They need to show the reason for his deep committment to Katyani Devi. Did he ever search for his roots? If somebody knew that his parents died, he would go and look for answers there. Now that Radhika is claiming to be his wife, there should be more questioning of his past and why he is feeling this way towards Radhika. They are not showing any of that. On top of that, they have now only 2 more days before the RP ceremony. He is going to be in chandanpur for day and a half. So, due to Radhika's actions and/or chachunders' doing, Radhika and Abhay would end up in the same room. Then, they would show few more things and voila his memory comes back and there is apology and what not.

Instead of rushing this RP ceremony, they could have enfolded it slowly. They could have shown Abhay feeling restless, thinking about last five years, meeting with Radhika may be in Kanha temples, listening to her voice, feeling the connection, Radhika telling him about Dev in a more continuous and logical way (she wants to talk about her husband and he wants to know). They could have even shown him being somewhat jealous of Dev as Radhika loves him a lot and he is drawn towards Radhika. They are totally shortchanging his character and instead showing these repeated attempts of Kanika trying to seduce Dev. This is what they did during ONS (devoted several episodes to that and ruined Vishaka's character who was selfish and self-centered to the extreme but not a slut type character) and devoted just five minutes in showing Dev's anger and betrayal from Radhika.

I am getting a feeling that these creatives are not interested in this show and just letting it run until Zee gets a viable new program and cancels it.

He has been told that he is an orphan and that his parents have died in the accident........but what about the rest of the family? What about the place wher he grew up? Even a person who has his memory intact usually wants to visit places where he or she has spent his childhood. The only reason why an adult might not want to visit his or her childhood is if there are some bad memories related to that place. Here Abhay has lost his memory and he has been shown not at all interested in finding for himself.......doesn't he have the curiosity? I get it that he blindly accepted what Kannika told him but why so much trust on Kannika? He has been living in that house for such a long time and he should be aware about what sort of person Kannika is.......he is not even questioning why a mother does not have any interest what so ever in her own child.

Then now there is Radhika who is insisting that he is her husband.........then family is also insisting on the same thing.Ok for the time being he has accepted that it is the case of mistaken identity....but there is a remarkable change in Kannikas behaviour that Abhay has noticed........a person who was not interested in physical relationship is now demanding it........the person who never took care of his emotional needs is now calling him up and asking for his well being..........the same person who has not shown any interest in his work is now wanting to go with him............doesn't it strike him that the timing Kannika changing and Radhikas arrival is a bit strange? He thinks that Kannika is feeling insecure but doesn't he think that insecurity comes from the presence of feelings or emotions.....Kannika has not shown any emotions towards him until now and then suddenly in one day this sudden change........people don't change suddenly ,,,,,it happens over time.....the sudden changes are usually based on some other reason.

Next is the child....he thinks that since he has a child that means Kannika is his wife.........but again if a woman has a child with her husband with whom she has a normal relationship (I am presuming that he has been told that)....won't there be some feelings towards the father of her child.....I am not talking of divorced couples because here they are not divorced.....I am not talking of physical love.....I am talking about talking and listening to each other.......until now I have only heard a taunting tone in her dialogues towards Abhay which have now become saccharine sweet......doesn't that strike him.

It all boils down to blind faith in Kannika......but why? this blind faith will only come if he has been brainwashed........and again with what.......has he been told that he is guilty of something.....because that will answer my question regarding not wanting to go back to the past. He has got memory loss but he does not show any physical symptoms of memory loss......his symptoms are more of Stockholm Syndrome. He is even not curious as to how this Dev got lost..........he is simply not interested.

He is still not Abhay to me.......he will only be Abhay when they show me his journey.......what I am seeing is Dev who has got a whack on his head..........is under the control of Kannika and he is turning into a stone in front of Radhika.The creatives refusal in showing me who really Abhay is or what is he about is actually showing me that the creatives are not interested in Abhay as a character.........they are actually doing a big disservice to this character and to their story. They are telling me that this is Abhay but what I am seeing is Dev............this is irritating me and soon I am going to loose interest in whether this character is Abahy or Dev and will not care. I know they hinted at some stuff on Friday but that is not enough for me.

Actually, you have hit nail on several issues. For example, in the beginning they showed that Abhay was impatient with Kanika because she is indifferent towards Deepu and he in fact doesn't trust her at all when it comes to Deepu. In all other instances, he was barely tolerant towards her. Also, she was shown to be more interested in shopping and watching TV than him which was perfectly fine with him. Even for payal, he rebuffed her. Suddenly, his dialogues were that his respect for her increased even more when she suggested separate sleeping arrangement. They could have given him a dialogue where he said that he felt respect for her that she suggested this because I didn't see any love or respect in him towards her. So, suddenly he is thinking about her feelings rather than thinking about the change in her behavior.

Angie and what did he say on friday that if they both leave then who is going to look after Deepu........this is in direct contrast to his earlier behaviour.........this shows that the creatives are dumbing him down to bring in the required melodrama and twist in their track...also they have to complete the circles. If they show him thinking then they will have to show him interacting wth Radhika in a more normal way........trying to understand her.........then they won't be able to show Radhika chasing him......standing in rain......bawre nanina in the background........her pain and also won't be able to complete their circles....her standing in rain waiting for him which is similar to him waiting in the rain for her........also last year in the ashram Dev comes to take her back but she rebuffs him and tells him to go back to Vishaka his wife and now Dev is telling her the same thing.........telling her to leave him alone with his wife and child........both wives in this case according to Dev are false wives.

Instead of dumbing him down, they could have shown a logical thought process where he starts wondering about Kanika's change of behavior, Radhika's insistence (afterall, if her husband resembles him there must be some more reason), his attraction towards her. They could have easily started him having some doubts about Kanika's claims. They could have shown some flashbacks where Kanika is convincing him about his identify and he in present rethinking about it. Instead of showing a rational path to regaining memory, they are doing these stupid cliffhangers. For example, the precap is a carrot for audience about whether Abhay would see RAdhika's one bare feet and one with the same payal as the one he is carrying. Why didn't they show interaction with Dadi (just on human grounds), discussions with RAdhika (they showed him telling Radhika about his DG and he was treating Vishaka's sister as a confidant and they could have shown the same things here too), Radhika's knowledge of music and his attraction towards his voice, his disgust with Kanika's behavior, his interaction with other PF members and so on. But again to show Radhika's mahanta, everything is up to her as far as bringing Dev's memory is concerned. Then there would be a mad rush to Delhi at the last minute for the RP ceremony. Finally, there would be 2 minute apology from Dev to Radhika with Radhika forgiving him instantly. There won't be any feelings of guilt shown by Dev, betrayal feelings of Radhika (even if Dev rebuffed her unintentionally) and adjustment by her to his new personality (afterall, she is in love with old Dev) and mutual refinding of each other.

The circle here is a bit different.....last year he thought that he was married to Vishaka and Radhika the outsider became his confidant..he almost had blind faith on her........but now he knows that Kannika is his wife and Radhika is again the outsider....the circle will be opposite....he will have blind faith on Kannika and thats what they are showing.......if the circle is between Radhika and Dev directly the result is opposite.......thats their track record. There is another circle here.........Abhays character has been moulded on the old Radhika and Kannika is Vishaka........Radhika always used to think that Vishaka is careless but has a good heart........Abhay also thinks that Kannika is careless and thats why does not care about Deepu but has a good heart........so again Abhay/Devs character has been brought down to justify their circles............thats the reason why they are not showing Devb/Abhays reactiosn because then they won't be able to justify the circles.

These creatives stretch at unneccessary places (attempted seduction of Dev in numerous episodes) and pay no attention to the emotional content. They have been doing this since last January. They could have easily stretched this show to one additional years with just couple of tracks rather than this khichdi stuff they show us.

Yes based on emotional content and the presence of a story the show can run but based on the nonsense that they insist on showing, I have my doubts.

The one- liner from Kanika that she is not going to allow Dev to regain his lost memory--to me says it all, I don't think the CV's are going to delve into this subject anymore. From that one line it is to be understood that Kanika has the key to Dev's prison, Radhika is trying to open it with various keys but it is Kanika who has the key to that prison, which also means that Dev has to break open the prison and come out of it on his own. For me it answers 2 of my questions,

1) Is Dev going to get back his memory in the near furture? No.

2) Do I want to him to get back his memory quickly? No. then that may end in pushing someone from the cliff-top.

On the other hand Dev getting back his memory and playing his tricks in such a way that all of them fall in the trap. Whether the CV's have it in them to show this I don't know. Having chosen a complex subject like amnesia, they should have done their home work better to project the case in a reasonable manner.

Going by their famous circle theory, I do get the feeling that this RP puja is going to be done by ABhay and Radhika. Dev not available and hence Abhay standing for Dev just like last time, Mataramji will be like amma suggesting that Abhay should go with Radhika, She has her own agenda and all of us know of it. There may be some vachans and commitmentsetc. Radhika stayed back in PB after RP puja, Dev will stay here, maybe shunting between Agra and Delhi thus keeping the MR family also in the picture. WE may see Dev and Radhika having some difference of opinion on a lot of issues which was also one of the wishes of the forumers, fight against each other but remain under the same roof. Meanwhile Dev gaining his memory and not revealing it to anybody and when Radhika finds out the famous Haridwar circle to be completed.

The question for CV's for this week? When new female entrants come into the show why do they give interviews that they are extremely positive, bubbly, chirpy and have child- like attitude and turn out to be hard-core vamps and be extremely possessive of the male lead and create havoc in the lives of the main leads?
