Hi guys

Sorry, haven't been a regular member of the forum lately but just thought about this topic and decided to post it here. This is meant to be a light hearted topic and I 'd appreciate if no one makes this a battleground...

Yes, this is an AR-centric post

DMG, a show close to the hearts of so many young people has definitely been a very educational experience for a lot of young minds, who are just venturing out into the real world. The messages portrayed in this 'thoughtful' show will always stay etched in the minds of young people for years to come.

Here are some of the wonderful lessons of life that DMG has portrayed....please feel free to add more

1. If you want to be a successful doctor, first get a degree in romance and heartbreaks because a dull place like a hospital is not a place for learning, but falling in and out of love. The better you are at this art, the more successful you will be as a doctor. If you are not good at romancing, just become a druggie (Raj)....they will accept you as an intern in a heartbeat!

2. If you are a typical Indian woman (I am yet to find out the real meaning of this phrase) then don't bother to fall in love before marriage because inevitably your fate will be determined by the person you end up marrying. So, just enjoy all the attention from handsome hunks, maybe even make some hollow promises to them like you are my wajood etc etc but don't get all crazy for him.....rather make him go crazy and psychotic in your love.

3. If you are an Indian guy and you happen to fall in love with a fellow doctor, first take on fights with her, then make sure that circumstances or 'haalat' force her to marry you for eg: take secret photos of her etc etc....because for Indian women their respect in society is more important than their self respect!

4. A sure shot way to have all the handsome guys wagging their tails behind you- become a crying machine. Indian men apparently are very soft hearted and the more a woman cries, the more they love her! (I want my hubby to learn a lesson or two from the men in DMG...darn my tears usually have an opposite effect on him)

5. Be stubborn! The more stubborn and pig headed you are, the more people want to please you....prime examples are Dr Shashank and his adopted daughter, Riddhima.

6. Always blame others for your miseries- it helps reduce your own guilt.

7. If you are unlucky enough to fall in love with someone before marriage, and one of the lovers in the relationship wants to keep the relationship a secret- BOLT! That is your first hint that this lover of yours doesn't deserve your love because when the time comes, he or she will not stand up for their true feelings. It's better to snap that relationship at that moment before you decide to put your life in stake for such a person.

8. BE SELFISH IN LIFE. The more selfish you are, the better chances of attaining whatever you want. Forget all this BS about selflessness in this real world because the selfless person always ends up getting hurt and empty handed.

9. Don't go about taking bullets for others, or try to kill yourself for another person, or be willing to explode for someone else because NO ONE IS WORTH IT....

10. THE MOST IMPORTANT LESSON FOR EVERYONE

THERE IS NO TRUE LOVE IN SHOWBIZ....

True love = TRPs= money

The actors are here to act
The producers are here to make money

So, please don't get attached to these fictional, profit centered creations because for them everything is a business deal- even the idea of true love. Don't waste your precious minutes on them because they definitely DON'T!

TC everyone....and remember dil par mat le yaar....

hi di!
long time since i saw you here!
its satirical, your post and i agree with them and i know most of them suit mrs riddhima modi so well.
anyway, there lovestory is butchered completely and even if they reunite somehow, the essence is already lost.
while watching dmg i have always kept myself prepared for the worst from the time actresses started changing.
and i was attached to AR but at the same time i am nto sulking over it. i am past that phase. cv's have made me use to it!
and one thing i have always felt and said and till date it gives me strength that i won't become and would not let anybody become mrs. riddhima modi! and nobody can be like riddhima in reallity

absolutely, in real life i wouldn't even befriend a girl like Riddhima.....her character makes me wonder why is she the main lead? I wish they had made her like Geet, who by the way is less literate but more educated IMO😉

yep, all said and done, DMG is primarily a show meant for entertainment, although i do agree that sometimes it irritates more than it entertains 😆 the thing is - never get attached to the characters. you're gonna be sane that way :D

yeah the only down side ofnot getting attached to characters is that it kills your creativity- sure has killed mine because I don't feel like writing any more ffs😭

I guess another lesson learnt- don't waste time on writing ffs on fictional characters- i'd rather make my own characters which are mine
