Is there any experience that has or would convince you that there must be a being you might call God?
Alternatively is there anything that would convince you that God could not possibly exist?
Would that evidence convince everyone that no other scientifically viable conclusion is possible?

If we attribute the origin of everything everywhere and the laws of nature to ONE thing and call that one thing God, then the fundamental and ultimate object of science is to find out God.

If we're talking about an intervening god, that listens to our prayers and wishes, judges us humanly and humanely, etc, the possibility of such a thing existing is really slim, unfortunately. If such a god exists, what accounts for the indiscriminate killing of lives by natural disasters?

'God' is all about supposition, in the end.

And, science involves everything that is a reality.

Everything that is real falls within the scope of science. Humans have not been able to uncover or discover much so far. Human ability and success so far to know through science should not be confused with science itself. Science is an approach.

When we talk of God, we usually mean the latter. If we are talking about the former one, then God becomes synonymous with nature; why really call it God then?

The latter god -- the conventional concept of God -- is silly, but sometimes useful and comforting for those who can believe in it/Him in their heart of hearts. I am not one of those 'blessed' ones. :-)

Science has had its own disasters in explaining things.. empirical observations get you no where... The most important thing is if science has been successful in explaining things why couldnt it annihilate the naive and primitive concept of God.. Science possibly explains 5% of the things rest is all left to calculative guesses..it doenst know how the univer is formed .. whats the cause of diabetes, cancer, what are the commonalities in micro and macro aspects of life.. Scince is only a good as the scientist...and scientists are not getting better..as we are still dep in quest of many thnigs without having definitive answers... 😊.. btw define the word "real" in your first line....

^About real or reality..I think reality is beginningless and endless....bt our mind has a beginning and an end, hence the mind and reality cannot meet each other...I think mind is impotent, incapable of knwing the beginningless and the endless...& the mind exists between birth and death...Try to feel with heart then we can see the differnce ..

I was talking about realities, i.e. facts; and not Reality. It looks like philosophizing, just for the sake and heck of it, is in fashion these days. 😛
