What were the Bachchans up to on Thursday night? Close sources reveal that the family was at Mangi Ferra, a Juhu restaurant, to celebrate close friend Amit Doshi's wedding.

Arriving around 11.30 pm, Amitabh was present at the function, along with Jaya, Abhishek and Shweta. Eyewitnesses say Shweta was wearing a diamond necklace that read "AB", and was appreciating the attention it was getting.

"They seemed to be relaxed, and came in full force to attend the party. Abhishek was wearing a dark blue blazer, while Jaya was in a peach salwar suit."

When asked what they ordered, an onlooker said, "Bachchan was seen relishing a pizza, while Jaya ordered some red wine. It didn't seem like they were really hungry."

The Bachchans stayed at the venue for almost an hour, exchanging greeting with others, and left around 12.30 am. "Mr Bachchan's close affiliation with Amit Doshi was the reason he had come."

Ash wasn't there

Aishwarya Rai didn't make it as she was shooting for her film. "Abhishek was glued to his mobile, though he didn't spare any effort to greet everyone who came his way," said a source.

Some other celebrities present at the occasion were Ramesh Sippy, Sonali Bendre and Karan Sharma.
