Undeserving Gala Winner

I have nothing against Bhoomi but sincerely feel that she did not deserve award today. Her voice was not really suitable, her low notes very scattered. She sounded like amateur singing in college gathering. Arpita sounded better, even Rakesh was better who was not even nominated in top 3 surprisingly. I think this selection is more to do with clash of ego and becos they could not zero in on any candidate.

Very disappointing result. What do u think guys ?

i agree completely. was shocked to see bhoomi even in the top 4. infact today i felt was one of her weakest performances. anu malik criticised arpita and she was in top 4. i dodn't know how judges are choosing the top contestants 😕

Indeed true. one can hear the breath of bhoomi though out the song, she tried very hard and sad to say that end result is definitely not encouraging. IMO, the award should have gone for sreeram, as he already got one it should have gone for arpita. Rakesh is good, but he could have been much better as the song he selected is uncomplicated.

I agree. I felt too that Rakesh took simple song for Gala.That may have worked against him. Also as you mentioned breathing of Bhoomi was very noticeable. Infact it was present in yesterday's duet song with Tia as well. Hope Bhoomi will take encouragement from this award and put her act together.

Well I guess they are going to distribute these bikes one by one to everyone. That's the only reason I can see Bhoomi winning today's bike.

I agree! There wasn't that spark and energy that usually comes thhrough the song! It's a verry verry deep song and I felt like she was playing antakshari etc.. 😕

TBH, I felt like she just woke up and started singing it.. 🤔 And it's my favorite song!! :'(

Agreed....What do you mean even Poonam was amazing. You are saying as if Poonam's peformance was surprising. She was an awesome singer. 😊

Oh yes. Poonam was awesome. Still have that performance with me. Bhoomi was nowhere near to that.

slumdog , I think Angel meant about Poonam in very positive way. But thanks to Angel.. It has revived memory of Loria and Poonam. They both sang it very well. Poonam was my favourite contestant. I still remember her rendition of Vande mataram and Koohoo koohoo. I concur with angel that Bhoomi lacked that energy and punch. Overall it was disappointing episode.

much as i like bhoomi i would have thought arpita was better than her or even naushad.

most performances were horrible. even sreeram couldnt recreate the magic he normally

shashi cracked in several places although he tried even taking off his specs for effect

rakesh began well, loved it, and then he lost it somewhere in middle

you know i am thinking this bad bad gala performance is due to all the tension that

was created amongst the contestants, it just didnt seem like their minds were in

their singing

anyways singing nonstop for weeks at a time is bound to affect the boys and girls they

seem tired and uninspired. al those extra performances and main performance practises

taking a toll. this lot was a sad bunch today, really

Its not the singers but the selection of songs. I find whole episode dull, good singers have selected stale songs and bad singers destroyed good songs. On a whole, its stale dinner for me today.
