Promotions-- My feeling

I searched through many threads but don't come to conclusion where to post so opening new thread after so long time.

Promotions. Which serial has already aired few episodes they are showing promotions of such cases. Yehi baki reh gaya tha. Bas. Till date just count the number of shows they have promoted via CID and how many have been successful. Banners, Ads kafi nahi hai. CID had no promotions for few initial years, then suddenly who gave idea to SONY to promote through CID. The one who wants to see will see no one is fool. That CID promoted so it may be good episode. Everyone can judge.

While watching re-runs sometimes feels CID is somehow store house of which serial came and gone on SONY.

Promotion is not bearable but till Reality show its OK not more than this. When watched promotion is last episode I was like someday agar inhein koi idea de de why not when CID is being aired take a break of few 5-10 minutes (audience keep guessing when will CID resume) and start telling story of that episode then resume CID after that.

Ooops have I given some bad idea to SONY.

It was CID Aahat and Boggie Woogie. Just imagine had Aahat been not stopped or say has been continuous like CID, then it would also have there loyal audience till date. Imagine Ghost coming and victim getting tension and suddenly promo. Who will say I will watch this show. Victim will say if I survive then will watch.

Please CID is longest running show doesn't mean they have commit some crime. This way you make them jokers. Please. It doesn't even sound good imagine how we feel when we see it.

The thing is that in logon ko theek se promotion karna bhi nahin aata. For example when in one of the previous cases they promoted that "Maan Rahe..." serial, we see a shopkeeper guy watching the clearly visible advertisement on a large screen. They could've just made him do the honours and then let it rest. But then they made the CID officers promote it explicitly and ruined everything. Promotions of this kind within another show have to be subtle and implicit (especially because there are more than enough ads during the breaks already!), not in-your-face like they're doing now. Not only does it give the audience the impression that the show is failing therefore they're desperate to promote it by any means, but it's VERY annoying and puts off a lot of people (myself included).
