Umm..I know a couple of young adult ones, they're young adult fiction..i think!

there's one that's called "Koyal Dark, Mango Sweet" ,Blue Jasmine, and there was something else..I can't remember the name. 😆sorry!

the culture is definitely mentioned and a pretty important topic as well but the plot is kind of different-ish.

One of the most common Indian author's I've seen in libraries here is Jhumpa Lahiri
There's this book I read back in high school called "Raj" (I think) I don't remember who wrote it but it was a decent read.

There are quite a few Indian authors that I've heard of, though I'm not sure about their books. Arundhati Roy (I think?), Shoba Dey (De? Dey?), and R. K. Narayan. I studied Narayan's The English Teacher for Literature in 9th grade and admittedly it was a little boring...Maybe his other works are more interesting? IDK...

Hope it helped! *hugs* :D

Love,
Bhav (:

here are some indian writers but I believe all of them live in America now. But, beside their names r some books I read by them. Enjoy =)

Kashmira Sheth - Blue Jasmine, Keeping Corner, Koyal Dark Mango Sweet

Shobhan Bantwal - The Forbidden Daughter

Anjali Banerjee - Imaginery Men

Chitra Banerjee Dinvakaruni - Sister of my heart and the sequel is called the Vine of Desire

Mitali Perkins - The Secret Keeper

The last author I just remembered was Vikas Swarup, he's written Slumdog Millionaire and the Six Suspects
