1. At the end of the day, Kabir is NOT the father of the baby and can be partial when his own child arrives,
Either he'll support his own child for obvious reasons, or he'll support Pankaj's child just to be clean in front of everyone, in any case one of them'll remain dissatisfied.
2. Admit it or not, Jyoti still loves Pankaj, and the way Pankaj behaved awkwardly with Neelam on the 1st night of his marriage, a similar behaviour can be expected from Jyoti, thus being unjust to Kabir.
3. NOTHING clear has been shown about Kabir and his family, and that makes things even more suspicious.

So a mid-way can be forgiving Pankaj but not before he apologises to Jyoti before everyone and the Bhairavi fiasco gets exposed
But not return back to him, she can remain a single mother na like Ritu is......

Jyoti no longer loves Pankaj - her last memory of him was casting aspersions on her for her family being close to Kabir. So now she disrespects him, and after hearing today's story from Ritu, that will be even stronger. I too agree that she should give up that kid - either adopt it out to a childless couple like Sarika, or give it to Pankaj to avoid a situation similar to Ritus hubby. But since she's heard Ritu's story, it's pretty likely that she'll try & follow Ritu's example.

If the story is going to revolve around Jyoti's struggle to be a single parent, the show will flounder even more than it does already. Already, the couples in the show seem gone - Suday, Brishma and now apparently Sannam, and if all they are going to show is a triangle of Kabir-Jyoti-Pankaj, coupled w/ Ritu influencing Jyoti to be a single mom, Padma influencing her to return to Pankaj and Kabir trying to win her over, it's going to drag on - just like it did during the Brij abuse of Sushma, or the Devika escapades.

But if you think that on Jyoti's first night w/ Kabir, she'll remember Pankaj, it could work either way. Remember, on her suhag night w/ Pankaj, she remembered Brij & got uncomfortable, but that didn't stop them from falling in love w/ Pankaj later. Also, Jyoti didn't really get a time break to forget Brij - Pankaj came on right then, and she married him b4 she knew him. Also, there was this big part of her life that Pankaj had no clue about, and by the time he did, it was too late. OTOH, since she's had enough time and even the flashbacks of Pankaj have almost stopped, she'll probably be clear of him by the time she decides to marry Kabir - if she does.

But in the case of Kabir, Jyoti has had time to know @ least him pretty well. But even though he's not close to his family, Jyoti does need to get to know them, or at least the immediate members, like dad, uncles, aunts, cousins, etc. After all, if she does marry him, one of her 'duties' would be to try bringing the family together at least sometimes, and if there are rogues who'd have a problem w/ her, she should verify that before she dives in. Other than that, I'd say Kabir is fine.

The step father argument is a good reason why Jyoti shouldn't marry Kabir unless she gives away her kid - either to Pankaj, or to a Sarika. Like Pia said, last thing we need is turn Kabir into another Padma.

Good arguments...although I think it is tad unfair to make blatant comparisions between Padma the devilla and Kabir. There is 'aakash-jamin ka farak' between the two's dispositions and attitudes. And based on the valour, patience and understanding Kabir has displayed towards Jyoti and her family till now, he is quite deserving of Jyoti (totally trumps over Pankaj). Lets hope we will get to see more of Kabir and his family in the show. But Jyoti going back to Pankaj is a BIG NO NO!

i won't support jyoti marrying kabir if kabir's family turns out 2 b sumthing like bhairavi. otherwise the same thing will happen again! if kabir & his whole family accepts her whole-heartedly then only the marriage will last long otherwise...😕

Kabir is still a stranger to jyoti if he behaved with her good and had made big promises then also this is not guaranteed that he will understand her after marriage too because after staying with her family for so many if they could not understand her than kabir is a far most thing.
