Nagesh and Mukta Arts part ways
By IndiaFM News Bureau, March 2, 2006 - 01:47 IST
After creating magic with the sensitive film Iqbal, Nagesh Kukunoor and Mukta Arts will not be working together, anymore. If sources are to be believed, Kukunoor's next film will be for Sahara Motion Pictures. The film is titled Aashayein, and is an emotional drama.

It seems that Nagesh was upset with the fact that his project was not being given importance as Subhash Ghai was busy with films like Apna Sapna, Money Money and 36 China Town. Kukunoor plans to cast Shreyas Talpade in this project. Unlike his previous films, Aashayein will be a woman oriented film. Vidya Balan was approached for the female lead but could not do the project due to lack of dates. The female lead is yet to be finalized.
