But again, it depends on the storyline and how the actors portray the character. There have been SO many changes with the actor that plays Riddhima which has totally CHANGED the character that was present when the show started.

I always feel that Shilpa best portrayed the character because she was the first one to play it. So she understood the character better, also because it was her first show ever on Indian TV. Whereas, if you take Sukirti or Jennifer...they've played roles before in other shows, and I feel that they always carry some part of their previous role and attach it to their new role, this is why the character changes so much. I'm not saying that they were any worse or better, it's just an opinion. I haven't watched shows of Sukirti before, so I wont be able to comment on that but if you take Jennifer for example, she played the role of Sneha in KZK. I think she portrays Riddhima very similarly to Sneha...it's like Sneha is a part of her, which she attaches to Riddhima. Also, she played the role of Ganga in Sangam...she does things very similar to that role too. It's human nature to use past experiences to help you cope up with new ones.

However, coming back to the point, due to these previous roles, experiments and actor change, the character of Riddhima has completely changed...I don't feel that even ONE essence of Riddhima is left from the beginning. This is why I don't feel like I know the current Riddhima because, she's just so different now.

One thing I will definitely agree with is that she never deserved Armaan. Armaan always deserved much, much better than her.

But again, being a hard-core AR fan, I would love to see the characters of Armaan-Riddhima to be together :)

I'll have to slightly disagree. Yes the replacements of actors might have affected the character...but maybe only a tiny percent. I would definitely blame only the creatives for never having a nice sketch for the character of Ridhima. And I say this because from the beginning itself, there were lot of confusion on why Ridhima acted the way she did...fans always questioned her actions and decisions which never had an explanation.

And we would have to simply disagree....Sidma in no way, shape or form compare to AR, even though the CVs are hell bent on recopying all of the AR scenes on SR!! SR have no where near the chemistry or the passion as AR....and obviously no where near the LOVE that AR share!!! or the AR Fan base....

I haven't seen all the episodes, but I totally agree with your assessment. Armaan has given much more in this relationship than Ridhima. If they marry, Armaan will be always giving but don't know whether he will get that kind of love in return?! In real life I would not advise this kind of one-way relationship!
