I still dont see whats wrong with sounding like everyone around them?
I have done research on the topic of people picking up the accents of the people speaking around them.
a little thing i saw online:
A lot of people pick up accents without any conscious effort, often whether they want to or not. It seems to depend greatly on individual personality, with some people rapidly changing to match the locals, and others never changing at all. My impression is that this characteristic is closely linked to the ability to achieve a high level of fluency in a new language.
I find it true because i have noticed my accent slightly changing based on where i am 😳
Like i went down to texas for summer once and when i came back, my friends said i talked differently 😆
