Background scene:
Riddhima gets mehndi on her hand in the cafeteria, where the woman tell hers that it is specially for the karwachaut and for married ladies. Su introduces her as her bhabhi. The lady observes that she is not wearing any mangalsutar not any maang main sindhoor. (Where did that lady come from?).
foreground scene:
She standing at her door, presses the bell and then the question she asks herself were like dumbest question. She asks whether she is working hard to work on her marriage. She could have canceled the trip to orphanage for a change and then taken off from the hospital. After creating all the possible confusion which may actually end their marriage now CVs want her to think like a indian lady. They do not believe in walking their talk. "main apni shaadi ko kaamyab bananey kay liye apna 100% nahin dey pa rahi hoon". 80% normally is more economical and gives better consumption of fuel on the cars and motor cycle. But she has an extra sawari and that is Armaan.
Sids opens the door and looks at her mehndi lagay haath aur taannz ke saath muskarata hai. He walks back into the room, and as he his about to trip and Riddhima holds him smearing his shirt and spoiling her mehndi. Sid jitna zyada langrata hai utna hi sarcastic ho jata hai.. his langrapan is directly proportional to his sarcasm. can we say that? Sid ghussa se ussko dekhta rehta hai, uski becharey ki shirt kharaab ho gaye, agar woh na pakadhti to ho sakta hai ke Sid ka munh kharaab ho jata. (Abhi sirf zubaan kaharab hai)
"Yeh mehndi laga ne ki kya zaroorat thi?"
"Voh kal karwachaut hai iss liye.." Riddhima stammers
"tum ne pure dil se, vishawaas se.. blah blah ye karwa chaut ka varat rakha hai na" he is intending to be sarcastic.. just wait, I can smell it coming.
"Apney boyfriend kay liye? " he fires his first shot.. everyone claps.. what a husband.. wow! (mere pass bhi aisa ho..) Issi tarah Sid ne Armaan ko keh keh ke confuse kar diya tha key Rddhima uss se pyar karti hai..
"Sid bus karo " she sounds tired "in rasmo riwaajo ki insult to mutt karo aur sarey viewers bhi sunn sunn ke pak gaye hain"
There is another school of thought which thinks Riddhima should just go to her parent house and leave Sid to decide but then Armaan becomes active. Bechari kahan jaye?
"Main ye varat rakhoon gi, apnay pati ke liye, tumharey liye" she announces. She did that once before where she almost collapsed, and this time it could be more dramatic.
Sid comes up with a dumbest dialogue by holding her hand and tells her that her mehndi got smeared before it dried properly or rachnay se pehlay hi, kyun ke tumharey mann main sachchai nahin hai. Did she not smear it saving him from falling ..

see ghussa aadmi ko andha bhi kar daita hai aur unreasonable bhi, never ever make any decision while you are angry.
end time
Sid maintains his suspicion and allows her to continue with varat and additionally challenges her that if it would be for him then to break the varat she would need to see him, but he will try and make sure that she breaks before she can see him i.e. he will not be available. This is where he has struck on his own foot. He walks out of the door and Riddhima wohi karti hai jo woh kar sakti hai, rona dhona aur dialogue ko baar baar chala kar sunnana.
Scene changes
Yuvi and Su are discussing about Naina's stance on karwachaut, Yuvi expects that she should break her varat by looking at the moon. Then walks in the karwachaut expert, Dr. Armaan. He runs his own institute where he trains the to be married ladies how to prepare sargi and how to go about the ritual without the husband ever finding out that they have been eating and also going out with their boyfriends.
Su questions him why ladies why not men? Armaan explains to her in a lighter way. Su says our family does not believe in this not even Riddhima bhabi. Armaan gets worried jaisey ke uss ke ander ki maa jaag uthti hai, kiya Riddhima Sid ke liye karwachaut nahi rakh rahi? not possible, mujhay ja kar Riddhima se baat karni hogi."
Yesterday Armaan was so worried about Sid and Riddhima, and over the phone he heard Sid shouting at Riddhima about Armaan. Now he wants to go and talk to Riddhima. the saying goes "nadaan dost se aqalmand dushman behtar hai" Does he not know that he is the reason and Dr. Shashank asked him to let the couple alone.
Scene changes
Riddhima is standing thinking about Sid and herself and assuring him that this is for you, Armaan walks in and compliments on karwachaut as ice breaker and her mehndi as a tie-breaker.
"karwachaut ka meri zindagi main koi matlab nahi hai" Riddhima talks to the window with open blinds.
"Phir tum ne Sid ke naam ki mehndi kyun lagai hai" Armaan argues, whereas Sid says its for Armaan.
"tum ne karwachaut ka fast nahi rakha" he speaks like a subject matter expert and starts to approach her from behind.. my god! is the shower effect wearing off?
"tum ne subha se kuch khaya hai?" he asks like a mother, "paani piya hai" is he taking the patient history?
after asking the tricky questions above he concludes "main nahin maanta ke tum ne karwachaut ka varat nahin rakha!" I am seriously fearing his relapse ke iss ne kabhie mere liye varat nahin rakha, ya kabhi rakha that to koi FB to ho ga.
She does not want to admit straight away, then she sheepishly admits "rakha hai main ne varat, Sid ke liye" before Armaan could take it for himself. Armaan thinks how to absorb it into his system, then shifts his position "Apni traditions ke khilaaf jana tum nahin kar sakti, can't believe it" he continues talking to her.. why is Riddhima not moving out, he wants to be with her all the time, the more he stays with her more difficult will be for him to forget it.
Ladies and Gentlemen , this show has now become snake and ladders game. Saanp kaat laita hai aur aap phir wapis neechay. Unfortunately all the ladders have broken rungs (due to interns) but snakes are like anaconda.
Armaan ka saanp riddhima ko kaat raha hai. He holds her hands and open her palm to see her mehndi, this is a new maneuver he learned on the mother's day. After he spoke all about karwachaut, the moment he holds her hands he admits. "waisay mujhay in cheezon ke barey main zyada nahin pata." nahin pata to haat chodh do mian Armaan. But he says "mein ne sunna hai mehndi ka raang jitna gahra hota hai utni hi' and his eyes fills with tears. Fish!!!! he is still hitting on her. He has changed his approach. He says "umeed hai" but why is Riddhima discussing this with Armaan. I think its again square one approaching. She confides in Armaan that what Sid thinks but does not tell him exactly what he suspects. This will again put Armaan back and strive for Riddhima again as he always questioned whether Riddhima was happy with Sid.
"jab tum ne mujhay bataya ke tumahri shaadi ho chuki hai aur ab tumhari jaga tumharey pati kesaath hai" he recalls it now, but did he really believe in it.
