well, i not an ardent follower of ZNKD bt I have been crazy enuf watching repeats of all the three shows ZNKD, Chak Dhoom Dhoom and DID l'l masters over the past weekend..😆 😆 and clearly wen the comparison was obvious 😃.. the fact remains true tht ZNKD is a big let down.. its not a dance show its more well-scripted drama show with some very gud actors playing their parts well.. n the judges simply giving away bountiful of marks wen some of the dance numbers didnt deserve more thn 5 or 6.. oops tht seems 2 harsh..😳 .. bt i know many of you wud agree with that!! ..😆 bt thts how i feel wen i compare the choreography n dancers of these three shows..

apart from a couple of gud dance numbers and gud choreography.. ZNKD is a big let down in terms of content and choreography.. luk at the kids at Chak Dhoom Dhoom n DID.. they r far ahead of these stars.. and much better dancers.. the choreography is excellent n these shows r clearly more entertaining thn ZNKD..! Well, now Boogie Woogie is in the race too.. the flaws of ZNKD's dance performances and choreography will b even more evident.. ZNKD needs 2 lift up its choreography n the worst thng, its camera angles, which makes the dances luk even more worse.. ZNKD is not keeping up with the euphoria it created with the title song and promos.. It explains all wen u c a show with the big names like rakhi, sanjeeda, abhishek, sidhesh, akshat, rashmi, Mukti seems so lack lustre.. and the judging i think is very well SCRIPTED(tho Vaibhavi remains my fav).. some of the marks didnt make sense when i c better performers( compared 2 these stars) kicked out of Chak Dhoom Dhoom and DID.. there is clear difference betn the level of competition betn CDD/DID and ZNKD... and i think ZNKD's format has lot to do with ZNKD's poor fare besides the choreographers, especially of the girls team.. i still remember Dance Premiere League on Sony.. wat an innovative choreography it had and the dancers wer jst superb.. i think it has something 2 do with the participants as well.. all the participants of other dance shows r purely dancers n r competing 4 their dancing talent.. n thts wat makes these shows a level above ZNKD whose participants r mostly actors, whose priority and talent remains mostly in acting and r not well trained enuf 4 dance shows and they lack the instinct 4 a one-2-one dance competitions.. so clearly only handfuls like Akshat, Siddhesh, n Abhishek r making their mark who r prof dancers and go beyond their talents and take it as a competition n also have a knack abt strategies used in such competitions.. girls team lack tht experience coz Rakhi seems clearly overconfident n doesnt seem a team player.. and Sangeeta is not enuf 2 motivate the rest of gals n it seems gud dancers Sanjeeda n Rashmi r too busy with their shooting schedules of respective serials to think of strategies as a team..

well, all in all.. i m in jst 4 Kritz n eagerly waiting 4 her gud solo dance number... personally Karan's act as CC was a let down mostly due to its choreography.. and it didnt prove tht he can dance.. 😆 .. waiting 4 his retro performance this week... 😳

@ manisha!! **hugs** it's been ages!!! I must say that I do agree with u! This show is more about stunts and acts rather than dance! I think judges are generous with marks but arshad and vaibhavi's comments are always spot on! Dunno why they don't show that in the points they give!

There has been some good dance numbers but it's missing that oomph that nach baliye etc had!

Last weekend I saw a huge improvement in choreography and entertainment factor without going ott!! I enjoyed last weekends so if they maintain those standards then will be fun to watch!!

Needless to say i just watch to drool over karan!!!hehhee!

agree with u... CDD and DID are far more better shows... they have originality in them and i think that is what audience would like to see instead of big scripted shows with some natak of celebrities... still I hope that we'll get to see more better dancing in ZND 😕

@Katz: Hi... **hugs back :D** really it seems like ages ... 😊 ... so gud 2 c u buddy...🤗

"Needless to say i just watch to drool over karan!!!hehhee! "

😆 not only u all the rest of those ZNKD TRP contributors r jst 2 drool over one actor or the other.. i think thts their only USP of this show 😆 😆 .. the drool-worthy rocking hot tele stars 😆 ...

Yup Arshad n Vaibhavi as judges r v gud n frank.. bt the way they give away marks.. i feel like.. eh now wat was tht for?.. 😆 😆

yeah it has improved jst a bit.. bt yet the sync in the grp performance is so bad.. watch yest inaugral Boogie Woogie.. n u wud now wat a grp/duo dancing is all abt.. the show was superb.. wat a start.. amazing innovative performances.. clearly it wud b tuff compt betn DID, CDD and BW... tho Boogie Woogie remains my all time fav dance show..

Luv ya..

Although I fully agree with you lets not forget they are ameteurs and only 1/2 the contestants can actually dance. Hence the choreography has to be of a poorer standard so the weakness of the dancers isn't more evidently exposed. Although Karan Kundra had a great theme and costuming, his steps were those I learnt in dance class at the age of 7!!!

Same can be said of Kritika's Mothers days performance. Amazing concept and story but ZERO dancing. She and Aditti have been specifically mentioned week-in week-out for their lack of synchronization and I've also noticed they don't have the required oomph when needed or the required smoothness when needed. The boys don't seem to have that issue in group performances and this might lead to the girl's downfall....

So like I said if there was better choreography we would have some really bad dancers. Because most these guys are pro-actors NOT dancers, we have to choose which we want - a smooth performance with crap choreography or bad performance with what was Great choreography. Unfortunately, we can't have both.....

I happened to see your post just moments after I watched today's episode, so obviously, it's going to influence my point of view, and in what ways.

I would have perhaps agreed with your post yesterday, but after watching today's episode, and the preview for tomorrow, I've got to admit, I can't but disagree, at least in most parts of it. I'll give you my reasons for sure:

1) The judges - For me, any dance show has its pioneer upon the judges placed on those chairs in front of the stage. Having Maliaka and Chunky judge the show last season was a total let down. Forget the 'D', they didn't even know the 'A' of dancing, which almost always dampened my spirits. Vaibhavi and Arshad make me glow with their comments.

2) The contestants - It's much more fun with a little bit of old drama, though yeah, they do overdo it for sure at times, with a little bit of fun, with a little bit of romance between the couples. I like watching all of that. Not to mention that almost all of them are happening actors this season, in comparison to last season, where not all of them were even so well-known for the audience to know or enjoy them in the first place.

3) The concepts - Mind blowing. Except for the baazigar round, which is a TOTAL waste, I love the judges special round, and the different sub plots added in here and there like the duet round.

4) The level of choreography - Last time, the themes and styles were cool to watch, but this time round, the dance, the choreography in itself is of a complete higher level. I personally really like watching it for the kind of difference it has from last season. Also, for actors who get hardly 4 hours a day in between shoots and some at night to practice, I think they're managing pretty well.

5) Siddesh- Watching him dance makes my whole day.

See I've been a great, ardent follower of DID since its conception days, caught quite some older episodes of Boogie Woogie too, so I know what you're talking about. Even in Little Masters, when you see the kinds of Vatsal, Rituraj, Avneet and others performing, you're left in awe. Not to mention watching young people like Mayuresh, Vrush, Dharmesh etcc making up such mind blowing choreography.

But the truth remains that these guys are actors first and foremost. They only get so and so much time to prepare an act, and practice for it with their busy schedules, whereas in the other shows, that's the only thing they do really: dance! Comparing ZNKD with other shows therefore, would seem a bit unfair in its totality.

That said, I don't deny the high level of drama which becomes irritating at times. I am glad Aamir and Abhishek shut Rakhi up today, the girl's really annoying man! But then, all reality shows come with their share of drama, I guess that's the bit we've got to accept alongside...

My POV is as follows:

I am a great fan of Dance Reality Shows. But there are 2-3 categories.

1. Dance Reality shows of "Dancers" selected from all over the country.
2. Kid Dance Reality Shows -- again Dancers selected from all over the country.
3. Celebrity Dance Reality Shows.

Now obviously we cannot compare Dancers with Celebrities. A dancer is best at his/her dancing. But a celebrity is best at his/her acting and NOT dancing. So obviously the level of dancing wont be same.

Coming to the concept, the concept of ZND and other Dance Reality Shows are totally different. ZND is more of a Masala, full on drama (entertainment), scripted kind of a show. Whereas others are Pure Dance Shows.

Its like you compare a Saas Bahu show with shows like Taarak Mehta ka ulta Chashma. Both are daily soaps but still are poles apart.

And if ppl are comparing it with Season1 .. then its always the 1st season which we like the most. I guess Abhijeet Sawant is still liked n loved by all, but the latest Indian Idol is out of the news in just few months. Where are the other Indian Idols? Have you heard about them? But many contestants from Indian Idol season 1 are still popular. Ex: Rahul Vaidya, Prajakta Shukre etc etc..

It happens with the movies too. If there is a series f movies, you'll always (mostly) love the 1st part more than other parts. Ex: Matrix 1 was best, Transformer 1 was better, Iron Man 1 was better... and so on.....

It happens coz the concept is always new.. and fresh for us.
