Gattu or Rizwan?

Hi guys. I watched My name is Khan 3 days ago and loved it. Shahrukh's acting was just phenomenal 👏.

As you know he plays an autistic person, i thought in my head that no other actor in bollywood could have played SRK's character (Rizwan) as perfectly as Srk did. Shahrukh is definitely the king of the big screen.

But i was thinking about Gattu then, how Deven has played him to perfection. i have seen deven on other roles too and he's great in them too, but Gattu just stands out in every way. To be honest, i do not think that Srk could pull gattu off, may be he could, but i don't think he can.

So my question is, whose portrayal of their respective characters do you like better? Which one is harder to pull off?


btw, my favourite scenes from the movie was the Church song scene and the Mosque scene. Brilliant, any one agree?

Sorry, I disagree. I found Rizwan's portrayal very wrong. Perhaps b/c I'm in med I could not digest how inaccurate his autistic behaviour was ji. This was a total joke, and insulting to those who are autistic. Bollywood should steer clear of trying to do disabled in movies. The whole premise of the movie was wrong considering the autistic spectrum Rizwaan was in.

That being said, I do not think no one can re-do a Gattu. Deven has done an awesome job of making Gattu's life so real ji. Whenever he would get yelled at and would just "go out of it" was done brilliantly. Gattu's own perception of what the world is was beautifully crafted, and no one can ever be able to recreate it. I

Saw it only for a few seconds when my cable wala was showing pirated copy, but i didnt watch it...probably bbb was airing at that time.... 🤔
